A part of being an adult is living with regret and not allowing it to consume you. The older you get, the more mistakes you’ve made, opportunities you’ve missed, people you’ve disappointed. And every day you have to remind yourself to be kind and forgiving of yourself. You accept and love the you from the past and understand that it’s all a part of the process. Then you move on and live your best life, knowing now as old as you feel today, you’ll never be this young again.

westerners are obsessed with the idea of happiness as if it’s a constant state of being. happiness comes in moments. you dont “achieve” happiness. you experience it along with every other emotion on the spectrum. if you spend your life chasing this constructed idea of happiness you will never even be remotely content. work on being whole and feeling everything while increasing the happy moments. stop trying to be a “happy person.” just be a person.

I am often astonished at how art looks different when photographed in different light. This second one is a photo taken in natural daylight (outdoors), the first one is taken indoors using artficial light. Photographing art is a science. I have often been surprised by the colours of an original piece at a museum when I have seen so many versions of it in books and online. I am always struggling with which version to post. I usually go for the one that most looks like the original. There the daylight photography usually reflects that the best.
