What are your other OC's like? I'm interested in hearing about the stories you came up with for them.

UH OH youre gonna get me talking!

My OCs are NPCs by origin. I was (still am) the DM of my friend group and to get their characters moving along I had to create my own.

Unexpectedly, my friends loved them.

ILYA - unwell henchman

i know its a boys name,

An aiding hand to an ambiguous villain, Ilya was introduced as sneaky, smiling, and untrustworthy. The facade collapsed once she vomited inside a cup after accidentally touching the liquified remains of (unbeknown to her) her younger sibling. The villain is a wizard of great power and transported all the liquid from their body to put out a fire, mummifying and killing the person in the process in an attempt to save several.

She seeks her sibling amongst the city. The tingling awareness of their demise at the hands of the guild she encouraged them to join and growing panic and grief led her to start a fight with someone who is spiraling as well.

She ends up at the local clinic, heavily injured and minus one eye, and spirals further from her injuries, her guilt, and the knowledge her family was correct about her being too mentally fragile to be in the city. Until....

(For now. The overall arc for this character is of recovery and improvement instead of pain and self-destruction. Forgive your past and find value within you that goes beyond self-sacrifice. With the help of others, of course.)

Despite her questionable moral position, a lot of characters feel the need to protect her.

Art - Her wearing another characters shirt and her getting a widdle kiss from said character, because even I (the monster freak artist) have my lovely ships

ED - emo organ trafficker

''Nez, I want my oc to be kidnapped and rescued by another oc'' ''Hm, I'll make up a guy to kidnap them then''

Originally meant to be a minor antagonist that would kidnap a character to harvest their organs and be easily defeated. Villain of the week type.

However, his snarky behavior, violent temperament, fancy victorian-boy-esque looks captured a lot of attention. He is a little freak but his direct words seem to bring out a lot of honesty in other characters.

Fun facts; His name is inspired by Edward Hyde. He is roomates and best friend/adopted sibling to Ilya. He makes an effort to be fancier than he is because he was born a bastard child and forced to be his fathers servant before he murdered his siblings and father and joined the army to escape (where he met ilya and ultimately got adopted into her family <333)

Art - Him, and him as a chibi fighting the guy who rescued the person he kidnapped. They also fall in love

REDD - funny bully

I recently made an oc just to mess around with the players while they were in jail! Well, now one of them drank his blood and is forever connected to him. The other one got her finger broken cuz she poked him. He also had the prision keys the entire time but pretended to be a prisioner as well. What a menace! I love making horrible pests. His name is red cuz thats how the others refered to him, because I described him as having red hair and red eyes.

Isnt it funny how despite being a DM I never use my monster designs?! I find it a lot more interesting to make characters specifically meant to alter the course of the character development of my players. I love to change deeply and irrevocably! : D

Another trans man was murdered. Unconfirmed if it’s a hate crime or not.

Please don’t let his death be ignored.

Taylorsville Police, who are investigating, said that two teenagers aged 15 and 17 have been arrested and charged with “multiple felony charges” in relation to what they are treating as a possible homicide. Alex Franco had previously been reported as missing, possibly abducted, on Monday (18 March), after bring seen getting into a 2000s Jeep Liberty. Just after Franco got into the vehicle, witnesses heard a gunshot and the jeep sped away. Franco’s body was found on Tuesday 19 March.

“Hey everyone, this is Bisan from Gaza. I'm still alive, I'm surviving after the day 3 after 100 [103], but that might be the last day or the last night in Nasser Medical Complex as the hospital is near to the invasion. The tanks are maybe 40-50 meters away from us, the soldiers as well. So the situation is really hard. The carpet bombing before this moment was just, yaani, unbelievable [sound of explosions] unbelievable. The bombings are really loud and are so close to us. The situation is complicated. I'm trying to find any internet connection to tell you what is happening, but [sound of rapid gunfire] Nasser Medical Complex is now near to be invaded. It's the last functioning hospital. I'm trying to find any internet connections [sound of another explosion] so I can tell you what is happening. The carpet bombing, the ambulances could not even reach the injuries or the people were killed and injured because of the carpet bombing in the areas of Batn Al-Sameen, Qizan an-Najjar, Jouret Al-Lout, the west and the south of Khan Yunis refugee camp. People who are displaced inside the hospital, dozens of thousands are just moving randomly — cannot find any place to go, they tried to go to the schools around the hospital or even to the refugee camp itself to find any safe place while the carpet bombing and the bombings — in general were, yaani, ongoing during their evacuating so it was and still so dangerous for people. The medical staff, the ambulances, many people also evacuated the hospital and that's so dangerous, this is the last functioning hospital in Gaza. That means that thousands of injuries are still now alone in the hospital. Displaced people are alone in the hospital. They are besieged, we are besieged, I don't know if I can survive this or go anywhere. I'm just alone. Alone as thousands, alone as many in other hospitals were before, in Al Shifa Hospital, and the Indonesian Hospital, and Kamal Adwan, it's a war against hospitals, against children, against women, against people with disabilities and injuries. People are just dying. I'm now talking to you in a risky place, in a dangerous place just watching everything and hearing everything by my ears, and by my eyes, to not tell you anything that's not true — it's true, they are invading the hospital, I'm trying now to upload this, to leave the phone uploading this and just to get away from here. If I could get back to the phone, and see if it's published I will, if I couldn't then that should be my last video. I'm still alive, but I don't know if I'm surviving this night. It's now 12:32 a.m., 17th of January 2024. Salam.”

for anyone who isn’t aware, friendsofthecongo.org/campaigns contains a list of actions you can take to help the democratic republic of congo, including pdfs of postcards you can print and send to a list of tech companies to tell them to stop using child miners AND a letter you can sign and send to your reps (+ potentially incorporate the main points of that letter into any scripts you might already be using for emails or calls to your reps!). friends of the congo also has a volunteer application form and a youtube channel

Hi everyone, it’s Bisan from Gaza, I am still alive Alhamdullah.. it’s been 107 days of genocide, 15 weeks, 2568 hours of killing us, taking over our homes and lands in Gaza Strip, and forcing us to choose between leaving or death.. and sometimes we can’t even choose.. the Israeli air strikes simply kill us without any warnings. Now, we are without any connection, neither the internet nor the cellular, we can’t reach each other’s inside Gaza, we don’t know if our families and friends are alive or not, wounded or not.. still in their places or not! We take hours of walking and searching to reach someone, while moving became very risky! We can’t reach to you as well! The footage, information and news from Gaza are not reaching you as before because the Israeli army intentionally destroyers the signal towers and the servers, even using the E-SIM requires being in a high place which is very risky!. I borrowed this vest to upload this post! I am not scared of death, but of being displaced, scared of losing my family or friends, scared of being wounded and can’t have my treatment because the health system is collapsed in Gaza, and to die in pain! I am not scared of the destruction.. I lost my work place.. my home and my family work place and source of income, I am terrified of being killed by an occupier, and to be forgotten, one oppressed Bisan of a whole occupied people. The strongest governments and weapons manufacturers are supporting this genocide against my people, and you are our only hope! STRIKE globally and call for a ceasefire! Strike, protest, stop the economic movements and make pressure on your countries to stand against this and stop it, if ISRAhell don’t find the financial and weapons support, or governments to hide their crimes they will be forced to stop the genocide! Go to the streets, protest and Globally strike for a week, (21-28) January! YALLA Brave and free people of the world, CEASEFIRE NOW!

All 36 hospitals in Gaza have been destroyed by Israel. ALL 36. DESTROYED.

And Israel has the nerve to claim it doesn't bomb hospitals and is "careful not to target civilians".

Fuck you.

I will never forgive and I will never forget how the world allowed this to happen. If you are silent about this, you are complicit. Keep talking about Gaza!

frankly, the people whose kneejerk reaction to bisan asking for a global strike form the 21st-28th is to say that it takes years to organize a general strike are really unhelpful! no one is saying otherwise, but palestine will be a smoking crater if we all wait for years to do anything - bisan is asking us to do something now. Like are we only supposed to do something if we can do it perfectly??? At some point it’s a valid critique about the work that goes into social movement, and at another point I feel like some people are just trying to absolve themselves from not putting any effort into observing a week of economic inaction.

like idk! I get it, okay! People have bills to pay that don’t magically go away for a strike, we don’t have nearly enough social infrastructure in place to support people to fully stop going to work for a week. But fuck, dude! Stop immediately responding in such a defeatist way! Cut out unnecessary purchases! Try to shop local! Put more effort into promoting Palestinian voices online! Attend a protest, call a local rep, do something!

Ultimately, the context of this (these) calls are different than ignorant calls for a general strike in the past for a few reasons:

1. It is being called for by someone affected by the situation. Social media calls in the past have often been called by people unconnected to the struggle or without any sort of connections to the work or others involved in the fight. Who are you calling for a strike? What is your role? Which gets into

2. Demands. With these calls for a strike, there are specific demands coming out for those in power to respond to. It’s not general dissatisfaction with capitalism, it’s not vague response to bigotry and oppression, there are goals. Ceasefire. Flow of humanitarian aid. End of occupation.

3. Very crucially, there is a spectrum for what is included in the general strike and a blatant recognition of how there isn’t time to prepare. Take off work (if you can), don’t go to school (if you can), don’t spend money (if you can), keep up pressure and protest (if you can), amplify Palestinian voices and sources, continue boycotting.

“Well I can’t call off work.” Neither can I, but there are items on the list I CAN do. Many people can’t attend protests but can pressure their reps. Many can’t pressure reps but can spread word on social media. Or financially support Palestinians. Or babysit for someone going to a rally. Or or or.

My law school once had a walkout. Those who couldn’t walk out wore something to show support. Signed petitions later. Pressured admin. If you “can’t do anything,” show support for those who can.

This is NOT the same as disorganized naive calls for strikes with no goals, no planning, and no thought.

Do not treat them the same if you cannot do everything asked. And do not waste your time asking Palestinians to forgive you for what little you can do when you could be doing any of the shit on this list instead.

support gaza and yemen 🇵🇸 🇾🇪 jan. 15, 2024

direct support to gaza:

"I am Shayma and I’m a part of a 16-person Gazan family hoping to relocate to safety as soon as possible. Our house was bombed on November 4th and my sister martyred and left two orphans behind. I am hoping to raise enough money to get everyone out of this war-zone in hopes of building a better life abroad. Right now, due to the IOF’s constant threats, the Rafah border is closed. However, they take bribes that reach up to $7k per person to allow us out. I’ve already collected $31k outside of GFM and now am in need for a $85k more. Please help me reach my goal. Your help is much appreciated." (Text taken from gfm*)

*out of concern that gofundme may cancel fundraisers like they cancelled ahmed's, links to gfm will not be added unless any successful campaigns for palestinians are fulfilled.

charity aid: gaza and yemen

Legal aid for protesters:

  • Palestine Action targets arms manufacturers in the US and UK
  • Palestine Legal offers legal defense in the US for those who are arrested in the course of protest or sabotage on behalf of Palestine

this list will be updated
