Hiatus Announcement

I’m going on indefinite hiatus. I’m not gonna be gone forever–I doubt I can permanently walk away from DW–but for now I”m going to take a break. Lately I haven’t felt much motivation to be on here or my Clara, @worthsolving. Partly this is because I’ve actually branched out of the DW rp community (who would have thought) but even before that I was losing muse.

This is just for a breath of fresh air. I’ve been running this blog for about 4 years and never took a huge break from it. Maybe I’ll get inspired when the new series rolls around. For now, tho, you can find me over on @withcameraandpen (for the musical theatre-inclined).

So, along with Philly Wizard World, I’m getting the amazing opportunity to help a very close friend of mine with a life long dream.

I have the ability to fund myself to get to New York, but for Riley (@theknittedscarf), it’s a little more difficult.

This isn’t crazy important, no one’s gonna die, but it’s definitely something that I would like to help them with.

Fun facts about Riley and I!

  • Riley taught me to swear. Yes, Garden saying “fuck” is on account of this person.
  • We lived exactly 3 blocks apart for about 7 years.
  • In 2013, I crewed a stage production of RENT that Riley was a part of.
  • The first time I got grounded was when I was 15, and snuck Riley into my house when we were both sick, and we ate lots of soup and watched a bootleg copy of Legally Blonde The Musical.
  • Our affectionate name for each other is “Brother Lady” This is derived from Riley being trans, and from the Foster’s Home For Imaginary Friends.

She carried Johanna out of the room, glancing at her husband as she brought their daughter upstairs to bed. “Dream about all the tea parties you want. Goodnight, sweetheart.”

When Johanna was sufficiently tucked in, Clara came back downstairs and plopped down on their couch, smiling at John. “Have fun eavesdropping?”
