Hey sorry I didn’t post any context about this. It was super late and I was tired when I posted this on my Instagram story and actually misheard the V part at first and thought she said “everyday is a valentine.” Lol It wasn’t until a lot of people started flooding me with messages asking for context.

Context was, my friend Pam sent Annie a vag valentine pillow thing at the Met show the night before and she asked Annie if she got it. Annie always with the clever memorable funny thoughtful replies ❤️❤️

You gotta love her

Annie Clark, who is perhaps better known as the popular musician St. Vincent, has co-written a concert tour film with Portlandia star Carrie Brownstein, Collider has exclusively learned.

Clark and Brownstein’s untitled script follows heightened versions of themselves as they interact with assistants, bandmates, music journalists and, of course, fans. The duo reportedly once dated in real life, and they also teamed up a few years ago to create a series of comedic videos that were released on Clark’s Instagram account.

Bill Benz, a longtime editor and director on both Portlandia and Kroll Show, is attached to direct the project, which Brownstein planned to produce with Jett Steiger and Lana Kim of Ways & Means, the company behind the acclaimed 2017 genre movie Super Dark Times. Topic Studios has been developing the film for some time now, and an insider at the company cautions that production is still a long ways off, if the project ever moves forward at all. They also said the project isn’t a “mockumentary,” as Collider first reported, but rather, a scripted film that was to have been shot like a documentary.

Brownstein’s feature credits include Todd Haynes‘ romantic drama Carol, Gus Van Sant‘s drama Don’t Worry, He Won’t Get Far on Foot, and Ike Barinholtz‘s directorial debut The Oath. In addition to wearing multiple hats on Portlandia, she has directed episodes of Shrill and Casual for Hulu. She’s represented by UTA and Brillstein Entertainment Partners.

Clark has performed as St. Vincent on numerous movie soundtracks, and she also wrote and directed a segment of the horror anthology film XX titled The Birthday Party. As a director, she has also been developing the indie The Picture of Dorian Gray. She’s repped by WME, while Mosaic reps Benz.

So, when do they start auditioning the groupies?
