“ANDDDDDD IIIIIII WILL ALWAYS LOVE YOUUUUU, OOOOOOOH!!!”
Kakyoin stared, extremely bemused, from outside of your room. The two of you were working together on a project for school, and when he went to your house, your mother had a look of exasperation and irritation as she opened the door to let him in. He was curious as to why, but now he knows. He smiles softly at your pterodactyl-like voice, trying extremely hard not to laugh at your Engrish, as he opens the door and enters your room.
And there you were, singing loudly and along to the famed Whitney Houston’s ‘I Will Always Love You’ and destroying all the beauty to the song. The radio was loud, but somehow you were even louder.
“I hope life treats you kind-” Kakyoin continues, making you whip your head around to look at him with a pale face and startled expression. “-And I hope you have all you dreamed of-” Your face went from shocked to gleeful, a big smile growing upon your face as you realized that Kakyoin was singing along and he knew Whitney Houston.
“-And I wish you joy and happiness, but above all this I wish you love!” You pointed your finger towards Kakyoin, a determined look in your eyes. He knew you two were just singing along with a song, but he couldn’t help and go just a bit red at that statement… Hmmm…
You deeply inhaled to belt out the chorus, “AND I WILL ALWAYS LOVE YOUUUUU!” Your voice cracked a bit at hitting the high and Kakyoin chuckled at that. You kept repeating the line for a couple of more times, and Kakyoin took note that it was almost the end of the song, so now was his time to shine.
“Darling, I love you.” He said it in a regular tone, in sync with Whitney, but Kakyoin didn’t continue, letting the song finish on its own, and you casted him a weird look.
“Lameee, you didn’t even finish the song!” You groaned dramatically, as you turned off your radio, and you began to gather your stuff to do the project. Kakyoin felt a hit towards his heart as you said that. It appears that you didn’t catch on, well. There was always next time. “It’s so weird though, you knew the song even when it wasn’t on the chorus.”
“It’s almost like it was deliberate,” Kakyoin implied, and you nodded.
“Yeah, deliberate-” You furred your eyebrows together. He could tell that you were putting the pieces together. “Hey, wait a minute…”
“Shut up, I’m thinking,” Your eyes narrowed, and then a split second later, it widened, and then your face flushed slightly red. “Oh my God! NO WAY!”
“Yes way,” Kakyoin gave a small smile towards you as you stared at him in disbelief, your mouth was hanging open. “You should close your mouth, you’re going to let the flies in.”
“I can’t! Like, this is so unbelievable! I can’t believe you confessed to me with Whitney Houston! That’s like the best!” You grinned widely, a perma-smile was on your face and it was hardly going to come off anytime soon. “You’re a real man, Kakyoin.”
“I thought you said Jotaro was a real man,” Kakyoin recalls the time, when he overheard you talking with your friends over what a ‘real man’ was.
“Pffftt!” You scoffed. “He’s a pussy compared to you. He’s not gonna serenade any girl with Whitney Houston, let alone sneak a confession in the lyrics of a song.” Kakyoin chuckles at the fact that you called Jotaro a ‘pussy’ and how true your statement that he would probably not serenade a girl with songs. “Kakyoin! Let me return the confession with another song!” You turned your radio back on, as you inhaled deeply to blast out another song from your lungs and heart.
“I SWEAR TO GOD, YOU BETTER NOT BE SINGING ANOTHER WHITNEY HOUSTON SONG INSTEAD OF DOING YOUR HOMEWORK!” You both heard your mother shout from downstairs.
“I DON’T CARE! DO YOUR PROJECT!” You glared darkly towards nothing in particular and muttered some incoherent things about your mother, as you shut off the radio, and grabbed your materials to work. You took a quick glance towards Kakyoin and said, “I will always love you.”
He chuckled and ruffled your head affectionately as you two began to work on your project.
