The dudes trust each other so freaking much and it makes me happy beyond belief to think about it. I mean heck, I like to think that Sonic and Tails trust Knuckles enough to the point of letting him use them as Boxing Gloves in Sonic Heroes. And speaking of that, the Team Blast! I mean, that’s a bunch of sight gook, but they all trust each other to bounce off of each other and completely and utterly rely everything on one another. Knuckles would 100% trust Sonic to protect the Master Emerald if he couldn’t do it for some reason.

Things like Knuckles throwing Sonic, or fire punching him at a dude while he’s in a ball, making a live game of ping pong as Sonic bounces off, building speed and only making everything more powerful as Knuckles punches him back. And- OOH. SONIC TAKING KNUCKLES’ ARM AND SWINGING THE RUDE RED DUDE AROUND LIKE A WRECKING BALL WHILE HE USES SONIC’S SPEED AND MOMENTUM TO STRENGTHEN HIS HITS EVEN MORE.
