the gang- bad; good

Johnny-was crazy for drag races, small crimes like sneaking into a movie, killed a soc ; only fought when defending him or others, always wanted his parents to love him

Steve-best at stealing hub caps from cars, loved fighting for no reason ; stayed in school and had good grades, loyal to those in the gang

Dallas-stole, killed, mugged, ect. ; would help a friend even if it meant going to jail, never cheated

Sodapop-highschool dropout, helped dallas embarrass girls ; got a job to help support family, would give his life for the gang

Ponyboy- again small crimes such as sneaking into movies, runaway ; good grades in school, wants a better life for him and his family

Twobit-stole almost everything he could, underage drinking, held back in school ; protective over gang, wanted to search in Texas when ponyboy and johnny ran away

Darry-likes to show off in fights; gave up his dreams to support family, works too much and too often
