when tumblr says  ‘ anti-blackness in asian communities ’  just be aware that this kinda faux activism is usually the form it takes up .   asians have been trying to go after kendrick lamar ,  beyonce and other successful black artists for about centuries now .
obviously that’s not to say there isn’t any relevant discussion to be had here ,  but the dynamic is fundamentally different .   just be aware of the tactic for what it is folks ,  cause man it’s been a wormhole to some nasty shit .

psa re: eiza gonzález (cw for: black face, yellow face & cultural appropriation)

after being approached by an anon (here & here) i have come across these images of eiza gonzález in black face, yellow face and culturally appropriating. i will add them under a read more as well. i don’t think i need to go into the how and the why of the racism and insensitivity behind these two acts. i can’t tell when each have occurred, but the black face seems to be from around 2010 or there abouts. as i  didn’t know about this, nor did others i trust within the rpc to have said something if they had, i am pretty safe in assuming eiza has neither addressed nor apologised for these instances. i am adding her to my banned fcs, and urge everyone else who understands how offensive and degrading both these things are, to do the same.

you … do realize this isn’t over a ship or what have you, right? you do realize it’s not JUST fiction, right? you do realize that the fact that you are able to belittle and diminish a black woman’s experience of racism as just “drama” and “teehee petty ship wars XD” is racial privilege unto itself, right? you do realize that fantasy’s discomfort wasn’t over a “joke”, and that people being angry over blatant antiblackness and the brushing aside of racism isn’t because we’re “hobbiless”, right? but i guess you don’t, and you’re ALLOWED to never get it through your heads that it’s just more than that. THAT is the privilege you have, THAT is what allows you to demonize fantasy and her rightful discomfort at your friend’s antiblackness, while at the same time giving her a reassuring pat and telling her that it’s okay to roleplay a literal rapist because he’s your uwu favourite white cinnamon roll cookie dough shitlord.

read up the logs. educate yourselves. it’s not petty. it’s not drama. it’s not someone acting up and throwing a tantrum.

this is about addressing antiblackness. this is about how you’re letting your friend poke fun at a rape victim while simultaneously bolstering her rapist. this is about brushing off the feelings of a black woman, despite the fact that microaggressions like the ones which @king-of-longing has made against @/warfigurina are something which fantasy has to live through, every single day of her life.

oh, and the fact that king-of-racists has me blocked, without having ever read my post to her? that’s also white privilege in action, because you’re all allowed to pretend it’s just “drama”, despite the fact that this is what black folks have to deal with every. waking. moment.

@draconicmatriarch it’s not about a ship

I don’t normally reblog negative things with open URLS, but I have to in this case. This person  king-of-longing is threatening black muns and triggering them on purpose over political debates. It’s not a callout, it’s a manner of safety. When something is life threatening, I’m going to reblog, post, and warn my followers. Any hate towards me about this will be blocked. Open URLs will be exposed as well. I don’t take things like this lightly. This is what I mean when I say Anti SJWs give us black roleplayers a lot of trouble over this hobby.

So be careful with seeing king-of-longing or anyone associating with them. Especially black roleplayers.

Be safe brothers and sisters.

i really have nothing to say in terms of an introduction, so i’m just going to get into the nitty gritty and say that you cannot equate a black person’s experience of racism with you getting your pwecious feewings :((( hurt because they reblogged a post about your muse, who is a rapist, being equated to donald trump. you really want to act like he’s a sweet uwu innocent fluff cinnamon roll, while at the same time demonizing, gaslighting, and diminishing a black woman who clearly stated she was uncomfortable with the appropriation of her culture / language ??? like jesus christ, she said she was uncomfortable with it, THAT SHOULD’VE BEEN IT. you can’t throw in your blurb about wah ): russian stereotypes !!1! because you have never, will never, know the experiences of those who have an entire system of oppression created just to stifle their voices. the difference between poking fun at white / european stereotypes and appropriating black cultures and turning them into stereotypes is that we know enough about european culture to know that it’s just a joke. but appropriating aave ? antiblackness ? gaslighting a black mun for expressing discomfort at blatant racism ? that shit happens all the time and people watch, and let it happen because there are people who still believe that use of aave means you’re aggressive, that you’re uneducated. you cannot separate that from how the world perceives black people, because antiblackness is global. it’s everywhere. you can’t separate that, because the ability to separate stereotype and reality is a privilege that only white people have.

i also … really, truly, have no sympathy for you if you’re putting the feelings of a fictional character who, again, is a rapist, over the feelings of a real life person, ESPECIALLY when that person is a black mun who has clearly been made to feel unwanted because you’d rather justify your antiblackness than own up to the fact that your muse is a piece of dogshit.
