This tumblr's sole purpose is to disprove Tom Grant, whom should not have the ability to earn even more money from his already debunked claims. Please note that this page is in no way associated or connected with Courtney Love. Please approach this page with an open mind, and feel free to ask any questions.

the main thing in SIB that really pisses me off is the portrayal of courtney, ie her actress. they literally have her making out with girls days after his death, talking and acting in an over sexual manner, dressing in only lingerie just to discredit her. fuck tom grant lmao

I completely agree! The way that Courtney Love is portrayed in the film only shows me just how sexist and homophobic Tom Grant and Benjamin Statler (director of SIB) are. Not surprised at all, I mean, Benjamin Statler endorsed a racist and sexist candidate for president (with Tom Grant also showing signs that he is voting for him as well). The funny part is that Benjamin Statler dares to claim that he is a fan of Kurt’s. Did he miss the part when Kurt told all homophobes, racists, and sexists to f**k off? LOL.

How did you figure out that SIB was bullshit? I've always been so curious!

I’ve always believed that Kurt killed himself, it was just from the knowledge I had gathered from documentaries, interviews, and biographies + his family and friend’s opinions. I never really bought into it. But I think what really led to my debunking of the film (and theory) was the whole over-analyzed “lethal” heroin theory. As soon as I started researching heroin tolerance (and how much a lethal dose is), it occurred to me that the entire movie was just another attempt at turning Kurt Cobain into a money making machine. Plus, reading the police reports. Forensic scientists, forensic document examiners (handwriting experts), and other forensic experts were all involved in the investigation. The entire investigation was a homicide investigation, which meant that they had to conduct the entire investigation as if Kurt Cobain had actually been murdered. I think that that’s what really made me sure.

your website is so stupid, even the ex seattle cheif of police wants the case reopened bc he believes that it is murder

Norm Stamper, the former Seattle Police Chief, had six years to reopen the case.

He now has a career in bashing the police force. He has done several interviews regarding the police force and probably treated “Soaked in Bleach” like one of the many (which is probably why he refers to “Soaked in Bleach” as “Soaked in Blood” on his website).

Many of the people featured in the heavily edited interviews of “Soaked in Bleach” have admitted that they still believe it was a suicide. For example, Cyril Wecht (the pathologist) and John Fisk (the paramedic) have both said that they still believe in the suicide verdict.

People say the gun that Kurt used was too big, I was wondering if you could debunk all of the rumors about the gun?

If the gun was too long, Kurt wouldn’t have been able to pull the trigger. The mark on his thumb in this picture proves that he pulled the trigger (although murder conspiracists argue that someone pushed his thumb down on the trigger and pulled it for him).

To even further debunk the gun rumors, here is a video of a 5′3 woman able to pull the trigger on the same exact model of gun that was found on the scene. Here is measurement proving that Kurt Cobain could have reached the trigger.

Thanks for your question!

So I believe it's fair to say that you don't believe that Kurt Cobain was murdered at all?

No, I do not believe that Kurt Cobain was murdered at all.

However, the sole purpose of this page is to disprove specifically Tom Grant, who has been selling false information and lies for far too long.

“Kurt Cobain’s suicide note was forged!” FALSE

“The note found at the scene by the police was immediately labeled as a ‘suicide note’. The police report states that it was ‘apparently written by Cobain to his wife and daughter, explaining why he had killed himself’. But this note was not addressed to Kurt’s wife and daughter and it says nothing about ‘killing himself!’. This note was clearly written to Cobain’s fans telling them that he was quitting the music business. There was only a short footnote to Courtney and Frances and the handwriting contained in those lines has been questioned by several handwriting experts.” - Tom Grant

On April 8, 1994 (the day that Kurt Cobain’s body was found), the suicide note found at the scene was sent to Janis J Parker (a forensic document examiner and handwriting expert). Parker spent two weeks analyzing the sheet of paper. On April 22, 1994, Parker concluded that the entire note was written by Cobain’s hand.

Janis J Parker is the only forensic document examiner (handwriting expert) that has examined the exact note found at the scene.

What about Tom Grant’s “handwriting experts”?

Well, Tom Grant’s “handwriting experts”, who only examined a faxed copy of the note, may not be as credible as he makes them out to be. What kind of handwriting expert “changes their mind”?

All other handwriting experts that have been sent a copy of the note have either concluded that the writing was all Cobain’s, or stated that “the copies are not good enough to make any firm pronouncement”.

Tom Grant has also questioned the meaning of the note, claiming that it was a retirement note to Kurt’s fans announcing that he was leaving the music business. The following excerpt does not match the personality of a rational person who just wants to leave a job:

“Jesus man! Why don’t you just enjoy it? I don’t know. I have a goddess of a wife who sweats ambition and empathy and a daughter who reminds me too much of what I used to be. Full of love and joy kissing every person she meets because everyone is good and will do her no harm. And that terrifies me to the point to where I can barely function. I can’t stand the thought of Frances becoming the miserable self-destructive, death rocker that I’ve become. I have it good, very good, and I’m grateful, but since the age of seven I’ve become hateful towards all humans in general. Only because it seems so easy for people to get along, and have empathy. Empathy! Only because I love and feel for people too much I guess“.

How would Kurt Cobain distribute this so called “retirement note”? How would Kurt’s fans know who Kurt’s childhood imaginary friend “Boddah” is? Would it really be necessary for the “murderer” to forge a suicide note, when according to a variety of Kurt’s friends, everyone was expecting an overdose?

“There were no fingerprints on the gun!” FALSE

Something that many Soaked in Bleach fanatics and murder conspiracists like to dwell on is the myth that “there were no fingerprints on the gun”.

However, that is absolutely not the case.

There are two different types of fingerprints, visible prints and latent prints.

visible prints - made on a type of surface that creates an impression, such as blood, dirt, or clay

latent prints - made when sweat, oil, and other substances on the skin reproduce the ridge structure of the fingerprints on a glass, weapon, or any other surface touched. These prints can’t be seen with the naked eye, but they can be made visible using dark powder. Police officers can “lift” these prints with tape or take special photographs of them. Once analyzed, latent prints become either legible or not legible.

legible - when the print is neat and clear
not legible - when the print is not a clear impression

The Seattle Police Department lifted four prints from the gun, though they were not clear enough to be identified.

View Kurt Cobain’s fingerprint analysis here.

A fingerprint has to be a certain size, clarify, and from a certain spot to be useable. That does not mean that there were no partial prints, oil, and smudges from Kurt Cobain’s skin.

According to Tom Grant, the shotgun was wiped down. However, if that were the case, there would be no partial prints, oil, and smudges.

The fact that were no legible fingerprints on Kurt Cobain’s gun is not rare at all. In fact, in only 5% of cases fingerprints are lifted from firearms. This is usually because of factors such as insufficient smooth surfaces, environment, and handling.

You mentioned somewhere that Kurt was in rehab shortly before his death, doesn't that mean that his tolerance was lowered? Because addicts tolerance lowers dramatically when they stop using?

Kurt Cobain entered rehab on March 30th, and left on April 1st. Which means that Kurt Cobain spent only one full day in rehab.

However, in his last days, Kurt was spotted by friends and witnesses who recall seeing him on drugs. Krist Novoselic also recalls seeing Kurt “out of his mind on heroin” shortly before his demise.

Since Kurt had five days to get his tolerance back up, I doubt that one day in rehab would have affected anything. Plus, heroin tolerance increases rapidly.

Thanks for your question!

"Someone was using Kurt’s credit card” FALSE

After Kurt Cobain was found dead, Tom Grant asked for Cobain’s credit card log. It was alarming because Cobain’s death took place on April 5th, but there was still activity on the 6th of April.  Tom Grant informed the Seattle Police Department right away. The officers said that they were going to take care of the matter by talking to the SeaFirst bank.

The bank concluded that “they had only been able to identify when the information was logged onto their mainframe computer, and not specifically when the attempt was made or who it was by.”

This means that the activity on Cobain’s card was delayed.

Tom Grant ignored the bank’s statement, and still claims that someone was using Kurt’s credit card after he died to this day.

When you look into the activities of Cobain’s credit card log provided by Tom Grant himself, on the top line it reads:

4/2/94 | $478.00 | DELTA AIR

Kurt bought the Delta Airlines plane ticket from LAX to SEATAC on April 1, 1994, the credit card log shows that it was approved on April 2, 1994.

This is proof that the credit card was delayed.
