Ngl, this dragon age day I am mostly just tired of being fed scraps from a company that's laid off long-time employees and fucked around with union busting its QA teams
I really hate how bioware at the beginning of this year was like "this year we'll have more updates on dragon age 4!" and the updates are "we laid off 50 ppl, most are veterans, including mary kirby who is responsible for the one character we are using to milk this franchise dry :) and we did not give them proper severance pay" and "here's a 49 second trailer telling u nothing but tune in 6 months (again) to find out whether this game is real or not! :)"
this episode is why people call it hatecrimes m.d

Vergil is just a funny man lmao behind Nero's back he's like "my son means nothing to me 🤨😠😤", but then when said son did confront him what did he do? He tried to talk Nero out of a fight, called his name all sad soft and mournful like "Nero 🥺🥺🥺", and then started dropping dad joke lmao. Literally tried to give Nero the fast tracked having a dad experience, 20 years in 2 minutes.
DEVIL MAY CRY 5 (2019) | dev. Capcom
Indignant raspberries
professional opinion vergil deserved a hug he's got a childhood trauma i forgive his crimes
Now, don't get in my way.
Actually Vergil has a weird ability to inspire devotion but he never noticed. Shadow, Griffon and Nightmare chose to die for him. Dante was ready to die with him, even though he's a mass murdering asshole. Nero risked his life to keep Dante from killing him even though 1) Nero doesn't know him 2) he just ripped Nero's fucking arm off and left the boy for dead 3) he's a mass murdering asshole. Apparently a few minutes of seeing Vergil in action + the little time spent with V was enough to convince Nero that Vergil was worth it. I'll even sneak Yamato in there, the ever loyal companion. Maybe at the end of 5 he finally understands how loved he was, is, has been all along.
