The night is quiet. A soft breeze through the open window sends the curtains dancing. Parvati rolls over in her bed, and wraps her arms around Lavender; her wife murmurs in her sleep. Despite the open window, their room above the Divination classroom is warm and toasty. (She reminds herself to thank her sister again for the wards.) Tomorrow, classes will begin and she and her wife will begin to stress about their students’ grades. But that’s for tomorrow. Right now, she closes her eyes and takes a deep breath. For Parvati Patil-Brown, all is well.
