I am looking for folks to follow.

I was @romanpolak but that blog, for a million reasons, is never gonna come back. However I decided that I get to like hockey regardless of anything else. I miss it so much.

I don’t even know who’s on the leafs anymore, so we’re basically starting from scratch. (I will not however give up the Roman Polak Motif, I’m sorry he’s the love of my life no one will ever play hockey as well as him)

Like/Reblog if you like the Toronto Maple Leafs are are older than 18 and we’ll get this show on the road

I can't imagine anyone still follows this blog but if you care I'm back just in a different spot

"Jake why did you fall away from hockey?"

Because, at the risk of sounding like a whiny leafs fan, the standard the leafs are held to against the rest of the league is ridiculous

I can not belive I'm expected to watch this game knowing both 1. Thriwi happened here and 2. No one on the broadcast cares let alone will mention it.

How'd I ever give up matthews goals?

Local broadcasts are the best way to watch hockey. They're much nicer, far more chill.

The exception is of course NESN their broadcasters are pos.

But like watching the knights stream last night and the coyotes stream tonight. I never want to watch a sports net or TSN broadcast again

It's so weird to try and watch hockey again, I used to know EVERYTHING and now it's like......why is the league not in the same place as it was two years ago when I put it down

I reread omgcp and I adore hockey again

Not gonna lie I hate the “home town boy” narrative that gets pushed every time an Ontario payer ends up on the Leafs. RIP Bunting but this one is about you.

There are 449 players from Canada in the NHL. The most of any nationality. Of this 449 players 137 of them are from Ontario.

If you were to take all the Ontario players out of Canada and make them their own nationality they would be third of all nationalities in the NHL following Canada (312 after removing the Ontario players) and the US (289) and just beating out Sweden (104)

It’s not, statistically, an interesting storyline. They do it every time a player from Ontario ends up on the leafs, but like that’s the third most likely place for any player to be from.
