I need your help

I’m not typically one to ask for help, especially financially, but here we are. I’ll try to keep this short and to put it simply, I no longer feel happy at home. I lived on campus away from home for college and would come home during breaks since I couldn’t afford to pay the $100+ ish amount out of pocket. Over time, I realized I was much happier away from my parents’ place and living mostly on my own, despite the struggle on figuring out how to properly take care of myself. My parents are somewhat trans/homophobic. I was outed to my parents as trans by the person we were seeing for family counseling nearly two years ago and it hasn’t been easy since. It’s been hard on my mental health and over the past couple days (weeks probably. I can’t keep track anymore.) I have been thinking about moving out and finding my own apartment. 

Money has been hard to come by and I have been struggling to find a job since I quit my first job close to two years ago due to scheduling issues. And considering the situation the world is in, it doesn’t look like I’ll be able to get one soon. Until then, I’m going to be doing commissions, but cheaper than my original prices because of the pandemic.

I know it seems like I’m hardly asking for anything, but honestly every little bit helps. Once I’m able to afford an apartment and not worry as much about payments, I’m then going to start focusing on transitioning, something that if I were to do while living with my parents would make home life very uncomfortable for me and might end up with me leaving anyways. and look how wonderfully the capitalist US has responded to the coronavirus! several new hospitals built within a week?

oh wait. that’s wuhan, china. which has been providing round the clock medical care and was able to save hundreds of thousands of lives due to quarantining and extra hospitals.

meanwhile what has the US been doing? pumping trillions into their precious stock market, laying off workers by the thousands, and the democratic front runner is currently hiding out of public view, all while the virus spreads exponentially. what a great and plentiful capitalist nation we live in :)

can i also just say how absolutely fucked up it is to call china the “villain” in this story? when the majority of the people dying are chinese? like do you really think the virus spread on purpose? do you make a habit of calling vulnerable and sick populations “evil”? god, get a life

You can call the government of China evil without calling Chinese people evil. They didn't even get to elect their government so it's not even a slight against their opinions. The Chinese government IS evil and has murdered/is murdering it's innocent citizens.

2020 gothic

- you join a zoom call. everyone’s mic is muted, but no one is talking anyway. you stare at the squares with faces in them. which is your face? you can’t be sure.

- the news is full of numbers. you try to learn what they mean, but the articles are full of jargon from fields you have no experience in, and you swear the numbers change when you blink. 

- you wake up. you sleep. you wake up. you sleep. how many days was that? you have no idea.

- you go for a walk. a shadow follows you down the street, moving when you move, stopping when you stop. always the recommended six feet away.

- every day you get several emails from corporations you’ve never heard of. each company name sounds fake, too vague, too optimistic. “Stay healthy! :)” they say. “We’re committed to keeping you safe! You must stay healthy! We love you very much! We learned everything about you so we can keep you safe! Please believe us we love you so much we’ r e  , s 0Rry:):)):))”  You try to unsubscribe, but the link just takes you to a blank black webpage. Suddenly, you can make out your reflection in the screen. What’s that over your shoulder?
