A redraw of a REALLY OLD concept I did in like, 2015 of a Steven Universe style fusion between Phineas and Isabella from Phineas and Ferb. They’re a Carnelian Stone, made from Phineas who would be a Carnelian and Isabella who would be a Spinel. Her main weapon is a Harpoon Gun, which is a combination of Isabella’s sash and Phineas’s baseball gun thing! He uses they/she/he pronouns, and is very mischievous and capable as an individual. I felt like drawing more Pheonix Flynn stuff! Just because they’re adults now, doesn’t mean Pheonix and Isabella don’t still get into all sorts of adventures and shenanigans together. Image ID in alt text!

Might as well reblog this now that I’ve transcribed this! I think this doodle dump is first place I came up with a couple of concepts, like Polyamorous Lesbian Gretchen and the idea that Phineas and Irving dated for a couple months while Phineas was completely oblivious to it.
I also had some much simpler ideas about romance back then, and now know that it really doesn’t actually count as dating unless both participants KNOW and have AGREED that they’re dating, but it’s still a somewhat fun concept that I’m exploring differently now.
I also really like the idea that Phineas and Isabella sort of just… stumbling into a romantic relationship, and interacting casually with each other like this. Canon contradicts that last idea now, but I still like the idea that when they DO start dating, it’s with a lot of mutual teasing and that their dynamic doesn’t actually change all that much from what they were like as friends.

A commission for @noddytheornithopod ! We were talking about how after AYA, Phineas specifically would have to cope with a lot of changes all at once - he’s in a brand new relationship, moving out of state, starting college, and his best friend who he’s been basically glued to at the hip since they became brothers is halfway across the world studying in London. Basically all he has right now of his old support structure is Isabella, who he hasn’t even been interacting with as much until quite recently. So we started joking about how Isabella might help him cope, and that led to this
