Hello stranger you can answer any or all questions for the Star Wars ask game

Avatar

Hi there! Thank you for your awesome list of questions! These are so much freakin' fun!

I'll choose:

18. What is your favorite piece of Star Wars merchandise that you own?

I don't know if it's merchandise, per se, but I'm obsessed with this piece of art that I commissioned one of my favourite artists to draw:

The artist is regularly at the conventions where I live and, being a nearly life-long Mara fan, I asked if he 1) knew who she was and 2) would be willing to draw her someday. The answer was an excited yes and yes! Most of my art that I buy (and I have a tone by some truly phenomenal artists from all around the world!) is in my room. This one hangs right in my line of sight when I'm sitting at my desk. I adore this one.

7. Dumbest Star Wars moment?

The sequels on whole?

Honestly, even eye roll worthy events in other Star Wars shows/movies just don't compare to me. You know my rants. We'd be here for a week if I started in on them.

21. What’s an embarrassing Star Wars related fact about you?

I'm not sure I'm embarrassed by any Star Wars related facts about me. Kid you not, I went into full nerdmode about Star Wars at a work event once, but then we all started rating best to worst in the Star Wars line up, so I was with my people. Zero regrets. I wish I had a more interesting answer for you.

12. What lightsaber form would you master?

I'm going to answer this assuming that it's in-world and not my uncoordinated self :')

So, Form III is the most practical because that's geared towards deflecting blaster fire. Unless you're battling a Sith, it's definitely a higher likelihood that you're going to end up in a fight against blaster users rather than lightsaber users.

Saying that, I adore Form V. Anakin and Ahsoka's light-on-their-feet style is fantastic. I love watching fight scenes with those two, so I'm going to go with this one. To be fair, neither seem to have too much trouble deflecting blaster fire, so that takes care of that :D

13. What is your earliest Star Wars memory?

I was probably six or so and I remember arguing with my dad that Empire was the first Star Wars movie, not A New Hope. For the life of me I don't know why I was so determined. I remember making an argument that my six-year-old-self thought was impossible to refute, but yeah... clearly wrong. Sorry, Dad.

14. BESIDES THE ROTS NOVELIZATION What is your favorite Star Wars book?

I'd say either The Last Command or The Choices of One, both by Timothy Zahn. Side note, OP's phrasing of the question has me cracking up!

Thanks, friend! These were fun XD

Anyone else lose it over Rogue wearing Remy’s trench coat, because I did.

The only thing I didn’t like about this episode was she giving the trench coat back to Xavier 😭

Same here! That was brutal. I would have preferred she kept it with her, but my hunch is that she felt like she was going down a path that she wouldn’t have with him by her side. I don’t think he would have judged her, but likely pushed back on the decision, so she left that piece of him behind so she could do what she felt like she had to.

All in all, though, I loved seeing her wear it and wish she’d kept it.

Doing some writing on A Flicker of Light and the Skywalker boys may be the death of me 😭

He knew. Or at least he knew part of it and had only assumed he knew the rest. If he truly understood who Leia had been, the whole station would be in flames already. Or, at the very least, the infamous Lord Vader would be slicing his way through every person who had at least an ounce of responsibility in his daughter’s death. But he didn’t know. And Luke couldn’t tell him. His oath to Bail Organa to keep the secret meant little now that they were all dead and gone, but sooner or later Luke’s father would realize Mara had been the one to sacrifice Leia to Palpatine. The fact that it had been for Luke wouldn’t matter. Blood was blood, and despite how vehemently Vader denied it, Luke was sure Anakin Skywalker lurked somewhere deep below the loathing and the rage. So there he was, just as he started: alone.

May the Fourth Sneak Peek:

There was a humming that remained constant on any starship. From a small carrier to the vast Death Star, the engines could be felt reverberating through the floors and heard through the walls. For those that spent the better part of their lives on ships, the sound faded to the background. Subtle. Constant. Forgotten. And in the worst cases, taken for granted. Though when one became complacent surrounded by all the dangers of Imperial space, that was often when danger struck. Whether it was a malfunctioning hyperdrive that would leave them stranded or a whispered rumour of treason, Vader remained on careful watch.

He could feel the steady rumblings of the engines as he made his way towards the bridge, just as he felt the building pressure of the unknown where there should have been certainty. On the other side of the door was the Imperial Navy’s finest manning the Emperor’s most dangerous and successful weapon. The galaxy was at peace and the Rebellion scattered. There was only certainty, even if his feelings screamed out that he was wrong.

The doors to the bridge slid open and Darth Vader found it empty save one lone, hooded figure in the center of the bridge. The Emperor’s back was turned towards him, those sharp yellow eyes fixed on the viewing port. Below them was a planet. Naboo. Palpatine’s own home planet. And Padme’s.

“How many years has it been, my old friend?” his Master asked without turning, and in that moment Vader could have sworn that his voice was steadier as it had been when he'd been the Chancellor overseeing the Republic’s senate.

“My lord?”

“I remember it as if it were yesterday. The day i finally laid eyes on you. There was such pomp and circumstance and celebration following what the council thought was the end to the Sith.” The words dripped with contempt as he continued to stare. “Such limited thinking. They couldn’t see more than a step or two ahead of them, even with a council of Jedi on their side. Their lack of foresight would have doomed our way of life.”

Vader crossed the remaining space as silence stretched. He came to stand next to his Master and the chill he’d lived with since the day he’d taken a knee before him deepened in what was left of his bones. “You called for me, my Master.”

“It was only a matter of time,” Palpatine answered easily. “You know what he’s done.”
