ooc: someone makes a timeline of how long it took for each adventure but conveniently only takes playable gametime into account... cause this is me reading their math trying to find where the 100 years IN GAME CANON for BOTW and for them to only say it too 2 and a half years for BOTW... not to mention the obvious time gap between botw and totk... they are like wild took 5 years for his adventure... and im like *thor voice* did he tho?

#tw: spoilers#ooc: out of memories#granted it means link isn't near as unique as i thought he was for my theory#but what can you do botw and totk live to show that link is not unique#the live to show he has no special powers or traits or qualities#all he can do is wield a magic sword that he isnt strong enough to wield or re-forge and doesnt actually do anything in terms of sealing#so like as a fan of link it is so frustrating#but also adds to why my link is anxious and depressed 90 percent of the time

ooc: *sips tea* link seems utterly useless in botw and totk not because he's not capable he is but because not only does no one have faith in his abilities anymore BUT zelda and others are so much more powerful than him he may as well be a nameless soldier

ooc: i know it was bound to happen but some of my headcanons being proven wrong is so sad that i may be au in some capacity

also once again lowkey hating that no one has faith that link the hero cannot seal ganon with the sword on his own (aka the same complaint i had about hyrule warriors and zelda's sealing power)

not that i have a problem with zelda's power, like you go girl, but link's soul purpose in the story is moot when his sword his job is taken by zelda like am i making sense. like i would be fine if they called it something else ya know...
