PSA: Cyshub

I don’t like making callout posts. It’s not something I enjoy doing. I figure, unless someone is a danger to the people around them, there’s no need to call them out for their actions. 

So you can guess where I’m going with this. 

The other day, I blocked Cyshub. You might know them from habbyteef, pllayer, goath-man, wd-blaster, comidacat, stabbith, or one of their many other blogs. And trust me, they have many. As of making this post, I’ve blocked 18 blogs belonging to them. I used to wonder why they had so many blogs/changed their name so often. Now I think I get it. 

I blocked them because they were making me uncomfortable. I wanted to be civil, I wanted to keep this quiet. I thought they were just overly-clingy. Almost immediately after blocking them, I got a few guilt-trippy messages. Nothing too extreme, mostly just ‘you were never my friend’ and ‘goodbye’. Stuff I could ignore. 

Then I got this message. 

Okay. Likely impossible, but okay. I ignored it. 

I made a few posts on my blog about someone I blocked sending me anons. Then I started to get these messages. 

Okay. Now the person I blocked is actually talking about stalking me. Naturally, I turned off Anon. Remember, I only started getting these anons after I blocked Cy. I’ve never gotten anything like this before. 

And then I get a notification that I have a message. When I open it up, there’s a picture of gore in my inbox. I still have no idea what it was an image of, only that it was bloody and very messed up. I blocked and reported the submission, and then I turned off my submissions.

(Bonus- this submission happened a few days after Cy sent one of their muses to my inbox with the severed head of another muse as a gift. I told them I wasn’t okay with that. So not only did they send gore, they sent it fully aware I wasn’t okay with it.) 

I started talking about this person to friends on discord and tumblr. After talking to them, I learned that Cy has a history of doing this sort of thing. Plus more. 

Lovely. 

As this is going on, I learn from more of my friends that Cy is leaving dozens of servers. None of them have approached Cy at this point. Nobody has accused Cy of anything. Not only that, Cy started deleting a bunch of their active blogs. Almost as if they knew they’d been caught. 

Even with my submissions off, I got another image. This one, I could tell what it was. It was the mangled and gutted body of a dog. I blocked and reported it as well. 

To recap: even with my submissions closed, they still went out of their way to send me an image of a mangled dog. Not sure how. Maybe they used a different computer in another location? Used a proxy that generated a fake IP? Not sure. Either way, they’re trying to circumvent the block just to send me pictures of dead animals. 

So. This is where we end at this point. Right now, Cy has basically dropped off the rp scene- their active blogs are deleted, and they’ve left all the servers my friends are in. Some people have messaged Cy to see if they can clear the air about what’s going on, or to see if it was them at all. 

But I believe it’s them. All these messages started as soon as i blocked them. These messages have Cy’s style of writing. I didn’t post about blocking anyone until yesterday, but these messages started up beforehand. Plus, other people are saying they’ve done this sort of thing before. They’re dropping out of servers and deleting their blogs like they know they’ve been caught. Even if they start responding to messages and deny it, i believe it’s them.

Like I said before. I don’t like making callout posts. But if the person in question is sending messages about stalking, is harassing people, sending images of gore, sending images of animal mutilation, and has a history of this sort of thing before? Then yeah. That deserves some notice. 

Here’s a list of all their blogs that I could find. Some of them have been deleted at this point, but feel free to block anyway. 

They may come back under a different name. The like to sign their messages with a little cyclops cat, like >03c or something like that. 

I understand if you don’t like callout posts. I’m not a fan of them either, especially when so many of them are over petty things. But Cy crossed several lines, and even if they’re laying low, I urge anyone to block them and watch out for each other. 

I didn’t know they’d done this sort of thing before. If someone had told me they’d done these things in the past, I would have blocked them a lot sooner. I would have saved myself a lot of trouble. If you don’t want to block them, fine. I won’t force you. But I hope this post helps someone, and keeps other people from going through this too. 

Cy, I am very disappointed in you. There is no way of redeeming yourself after all of this. Stay the hell away from me.
