i understand people who have periods wanting to learn more about how the menstrual cycle affects their body and being mindful of certain things, what i hate is turning it into something divine and transcendent. it's just a bodily function! what's next? finding the divine in my piss? me and my feminine piss.
why would you like media that is good if you can like media that is bad instead and pace around your room like an insane person thinking about What If It Was Good

i'm gonna go one step further and say it's actively good to engage with media you have fundamental ideological disagreements with, especially when you use that as a testing ground to conceptualize your own worldview and help you crystalize your perspective on things
Strongly agree with this post, and furthermore, it's really valuable to me when people point out that media I enjoy has ideological underpinnings I disagree with. When I enjoy media, especially games, I often am not engaging with it on a deep level. People pointing out issues they have with it often allows me to deepen my understanding of a piece of media, and while I sometimes find it harder to enjoy a media afterwards, more often, being able to name, think about, and discuss an issue that I was not consciously aware of makes me enjoy the media more, with a greater awareness of what specifically I enjoy about it.
ever since i learned about ghost buildings i haven't been able to stop thinking about them
this is body horror
abstract and modern art haters are sooo snobby like klein literally Created an entirely new pigment and then painted a canvas in a way where the brush strokes wouldn't be visible. the insinuation that people with no skill could reproduce that is so annoying because unless you are skilled at color mixing and painting you definitely couldnโt lmao

simply cannot ever resist what i call the little mermaid or the tin man or the pinnochio plot, the one about a character who is either inhuman or human but outside in some way, constantly searching for whatever it is that they consider to be the quintessential proof of humanity, preoccupied by it so deeply that they fail to realize the proof is in the act and fact of the search itself

Hi all!
I just spent some time confirming that this fundraiser is legitimate. This is being held for the medical bills and other related costs of Kinnan, Tahseen, and Hisham โ the three Palestinian students who were shot this past weekend in Burlington Vermont.
Please consider sharing and contributing to their recovery!
