Mel: The Conclusion

It's been several years since Mel had resided on planet Averon. He made some great friends, and even helped them rebuild an entire capital ship! He continued to offer his services, running errands and helping out any other way he could. He now even started to call this wild planet his home. Though, no matter what he said or thought, this place never really felt like home.

During the night, all the stars were visible in the open sky. Mel would sit on the roof of his ship and just look up at the stars, still thinking about Julia, and wondering if she was up there looking back down at him. He pulled out the ring he had gotten to propose to her the night she was shot. He held it in his hand, just looking at it. Then he looked back up at the sky.

"Mel," D0B0 called to him from behind, "are you out here again?" "Yeah.." Mel replied. "Just.. Thinking is all."

D0B0 noticed the ring and floated up next to him. "Still thinking about Julia?" "Yeah.." Mel looked back at the ring again. "I haven't stopped since the day I lost her if I'm honest. Hell, I haven't stopped thinking about her since the day I met her. But, it hasn't stopped me from being me." "Nope, it hasn't. And I don't think anything ever will." D0B0 said, giving him a rare smirk. "Thanks D0B0.." Mel exhaled. "That means more than the world ever could to me, coming from you."

D0B0 continued to sit with him, and the two silently watched the stars together. Mel put his arm around D0B0, and D0B0 did the same to comfort his friend. They say there together, just the two of them, not saying another word.

The silence was broken when they heard someone approach. Mel looked behind him and got up to the edge of his ship to see who it was. D0B0 followed him soon after. It was a person dressed in some battered old space suit, modified and repaired with bits of armor and the like. They were a little shorter than Mel, wearing a hat designed to keep the sun out of the eyes, and they appeared to be a woman. One of their gloves were missing, and it revealed a green fleshed hand. They stopped in front of Mel's ship.

D0B0's eyes widened when he saw this woman. "Mel.. It's.." The woman looked up at the two. She wore glasses and was the same race as Mel. She gave them a smile that was as comforting as the perfect summer evening. She spoke very calmly. "Hey Mel.. I've been looking for you.."

Mel stood there in awe. He didn't say anything or even move a muscle. He was completely frozen. He couldn't believe his eyes. Whatever he was looking at couldn't be true. Standing before him was Julia. "..... Julia.." He finally whispered. Mel hopped down and slowly approached her, all the while she just smiled back. Mel burst into tears and hugged her as tight as he could, as if he was never going to let her go again. Julia laughed and hugged him back, patting him on the back. "Hey, it's alright," she whispered. "I'm here. It's ok..!"

Mel couldn't stop sobbing. He sobbed and sobbed, until finally he looked up at her face. Julia wiped his tears, and they kissed. For the first time in ages, Mel and Julia kissed each other.

Julia gave him one more big hug.

"Come on Mel, let's finally go home."

You ever wonder what would've happened if tumblr never banned adult content? It makes me think if we'd all still be active on here. Funny thing I guess, even if it wasn't adult content, everyone I used to hang out with on here seemed to have parted ways. The stuff you think of at 5am with no sleep lol

Hi, hello. I'm still lingering, barely. I haven't done anything in quite some time, but it doesn't mean I don't want to. If you wanna drop by and say hello, you can. If you wanna do an rp or something, you probably can too. I have a lot of fun with my characters, and I'd hate to see them go to waste.

Second Nights

The dense forests were no stranger to Keron, quite common with many uses. This one, was a simple and clear hiking path with wooden signposts leading to an encampment perched on a hill which was not too far longer away from a particular duo.

A navy-blue, light brown haired Keronian gladly directed the forefront of this small party, hauling a combination between a survival and military bag, with a rolled up tent and important camping goodies packed in and out. The young man reached behind him for a flask, swishing around the contents inside before taking a swig, exhaling a content sigh.

Then, he glanced over his shoulder, stopping momentarily for his partner to catch up, calling after.

“Hey, Ryoko! Are you doing alright? We’re almost there!”

With a flinch, he immediately darted his focus back onto the impromptu toilet, embarrased by her looking! Thankfully, he was just about finished with the queue of him zipping up his shorts, huffing contently.

“Alright, ah… your turn. Just because you looked doesn’t mean I will, okay?”

“What? I-I didn’t look..!” She lied, walking up to the tree. She looked down, making sure not to step in anything.

Ryokoko stared at his puddle, while she tried building up the nerve to do it herself. Of course, her bladder prevented her from running the clock. Finally she faced the tree and squatted down. She looked over her shoulder at Koruru, looking for either approval, or to make sure he wasn’t watching.

“Uh-huh, sure you didn’t…

Koruru was very well confident that she did indeed look, accompanied by a grin! Though when she began her business, he turned away and pretended to not hear a single thing until she was finished. After about a few seconds in passing, he finally asked.

“Are you done yet?”

Ryokoko eventually managed to relax and let go, soaking the roots of the tree and expanding the previous puddle. Blushing the entire time, it felt really embarrassing! But she tried thinking of it as an ‘adventure’, and a little change couldn’t hurt, and she pretended it was ‘fun’.

A few seconds pass, and she finished up. She stood up and backed away, staring at their mess. “….yeah, I’m done.” She replied. “I’ve never really done that before.”

“Well… in dire situations, you have to! That, and it’s not my first time having to go like that outside a restroom… you don’t really have opportunities like that in the army.”

Koruru hoped to reassure her with that, letting a drawn out sigh leave his breath before returning his attention to this night-time adventure! With a glance up at the waterfall from before, he faced his partner with a smile.

“Want to find a way to get up there?”

Ryokoko nodded. “Sure.”

“By the way, I didn’t know you were in the army! What was that like? I bet it was scary..!” She asked, trying to make a little conversation.

The young marksman perked up from that question as he took the lead while finding an easier way aside from scaling the cliff face.

“Personally, the army was a load of fun and also challenging! My dad’s in the army, and watching videos and marches of our soldiers was reaaally inspiring, so I enlisted early! At first, I started off with the mobile infantry division before they transfered me over to the assassin team as a sniper.”

Koruru lost himself in a slew of passion about his training, beaming brightly with a proud smile. He continued speaking with a bit of a break to catch his breath.

“Then I worked my way up the ranks really fast to being one of the top percentile in my class, and after graduation I served in two wars! Extremely exciting! Perks of having family in the army, and even someone to look up to, yeah?”

While he was talking up a storm, the duo eventually found a hilly path up towards the waterfall, following it as they conversed.

Ryokoko of course followed close by, listening to his story.

“That fun, huh? I could never imagine it being fun. Of course I love you guys, don’t get me wrong, but I could never kill people for a living.” She paused in thought, the let out a chuckle. “Heh, and to think I help lock those kinds of people up.”

“And it’s kinda funny you followed your dad,” she continued, “My dad’s the commissioner back home, and I guess it looks like I followed his steps too! I wake up everyday and go work with daddy, and that can be fun!” Ryokoko blushed after hearing herself say that out loud. “Not that there’s anything wrong with loving your dad..! I-I’m not a daddy’s girl, shut up!”

Koruru stifled out a snicker, shaking his head from hearing that! With a smirk following after, he addressed.

“Hey, there’s nothing wrong with loving your dad! I’m very attached to my parents, so it’s totally understandable! Though, I don’t think I’d get the chance to work with him… he’s out of my league. But that’s cool that you got to work with your dad!”

After a brief uphill trek, the land began to level out evenly, and to their right was the waterfall! The young marksman made an immediate detour and shuffled through brush to make his way past the fauna. Once they were past that, he sat himself right on the edge of the cliff face, looking down with a smile.

“Look at THAT! Makes me feel like a giant! Hey, Ryoko! Take a look!”

Ryokoko shuffled through the unexpected sudden path, nearly tripping as she did. “What? What is it?” She asked, catching up to him.

She kept her distance from the edge of the cliff though. And Koruru sitting right on the edge put her on.. Edge.

“Oh? It kinda makes me feel like.. Really tiny.”

“Yeah, I’ve heard other people say that too when we’re on the dropship, rappelling down onto the ground because they’re scared of heig-“

And in that sudden moment of realization, he reflexively turned to face Ryokoko, blinking in curiosity.

“Is… that why you feel tiny? Are you afraid of heights?”

"I don't know about you, but I'd rather not fall of the cliff, that's for sure!" Ryokoko looked away, dodging the question. "But I'm not afraid of hugs from cute boys though."

Then, he glanced over his shoulder, stopping momentarily for his partner to catch up, calling after.

“Hey, Ryoko! Are you doing alright? We’re almost there!”

“Uhm, I really can hold it for juuuuust a little bit longer, but if you need to go, uh… y-you can go! I’ll wait right here for you!”

The young marksman stifled an anxious laugh, looking around the area for a suitable spot to take care of business! Though, for her case, there wasn’t much that he could really offer aside from outside his view…

“Go where? The cabin? That’s sooo far away!” She said pointing off in the distance. “I’d rather walk back with you.”

Koruru flushed a rosy pink, shaking his head in a panicked manner!

“N-N-No! That’s not what I meant, silly! I meant, like uh… like uhm…”

He took another furtive glance around the area, hoping that there was another solution to this before shamefully answering.

“…Like behind that tree, or something…

Ryokoko’s face turned completely red, followed by a nervous laugh. “What? No way!” She said.

Ryokoko puffed out her chest and crossed her arms in a pompous fashion, looking up off to the side. “I’m a lady, and ladies don’t do that!”

“Well if you really have to go, then I don’t know where else for you to go!”

Koruru retorted almost instantly, quite embarrassed by this whole ordeal! He crossed his arms as well and pouted.

“Either that, or we hope that this path takes us to a restroom, and us stalling like this isn’t helping any, so what’s it going to be?”

“Ohhhh..!” She pouted, stomping her foot. She looked around once more. It didn’t look like anyone else was around, or at least that she could see.

“I’ve never really… You know.. Done that before..” Ryokoko hugged herself tight, covering her face too. “…and I’m a little shy..”

“I-It’s not like I’m going to look, or listen, or anything! J-Just take care of what you need to do!”

The young marksman reassured, still flushed the bright pink he was before, clearing his throat afterwards.

“I-I’ll still be here… I’m not going to leave you behind…”

“Hmmm…” She hesitated, then sook her head. “You go first..”

W-W-What?!

Koruru was startled by that idea, blinking a few times in realization! With a slight glare following suit, he retorted.

“But… but I can hold it, really… s-sure, I need to, yeah, but maybe there’s a public restroom uphill, Ryoko! Let’s just go check!”

“Ugh! Ok, fine, then let’s go!” She huffed with her hands on her hips.

Ryokoko stormed up the hill without him.

The young marksman was surprised by her speed, following behind her albeit a tad behind.

“H-Hey! Wait up! Geez…

Unfortunately, there wasn’t a restroom to be seen uphill, let alone any sign of a campsite or rest area once they’ve reached the apex of the hill. Though, to Koruru’s prediction, there indeed was a waterfall within the distance, though that didn’t help his issue what-so-ever.

Sheesh, I never knew you could move that fast, Ryoko! Do you see anything up there?”

“No…” She sighed. “Nothing but a stupid waterfall…”

If anything, the waterfall made her have to go even more than before. She wiggled in her spot, waiting for Koruru go catch up. “Now what?!”

Koruru finally caught up with his partner, even slightly out of breath himself as he glanced around. The natural landmark was nice, sure, but there was another thought in his mind. With a defeated sigh and a brief mutter underneath his breath, he rolled his shoulders and removed his backpack.

“Well… I guess we pick a spot and run our waters here.” He conceded, taking a look around. “This’ll only take a minute at least…”

Ryokoko groaned with disappointment. Some adventure, she thought. But what’s an adventure without a little break?

She took a deep breath, and sided with Koruru. “Humph.. Fine… Where at, I guess..?”

The young marksman surveyed the area briefly, deciding that behind a tree - no, any tree - would do the trick! His own bladder was starting to get the best of him, already making his way over to one of the many culprits for his relief.

“J-Just pick a spot… I don’t think it really matters at this point, unless we want an accident to happen…”

Koruru mentioned as he unzipped his cargo shorts and loosened his belt holding them firmly, wiggling something out before he began letting loose. A pleased sigh escaped him as it splattered against the tree, turning his head back over to Ryokoko briefly.

“Thought you needed to go?”

Ryokoko watched him, blushing, for a second or two. When he looked over, she quickly looked away, pretending like she wasn't looking to begin with.

"Um, yeah..! I'll go on that one when you're done with it.."

But what's an adventure without a little break?

She took a deep breath, and sided with Koruru. "Humph.. Fine... Where at, I guess..?"
