Lovely Complex by Shojo Beat: One of my absolutely favorite shojo mangas ever!
I don't want to spoil as this is the kind of manga that I definitely would want people to experience on their own with as little spoilers as possible. But in a summary, the story is about two goofy friends who make a pact to help each other find love. They are each other's wingman/ wingwoman basically lol, and it's so cute seeing them help each other out to get with their crushes.
The characters are really well written and you'll no doubt love the chemistry and combined goofiness they both radiate. The main characters are Koizumi and Otani. Koizumi is a tall and tomboyish girl who has trouble finding love due to her height and sporty nature making her not very "feminine/ girly". Where as Otani is a shorty who is a goofball and a little more sensitive in nature making him struggle with love due to his height and not being seen as "manly" due his emotions. One of the things I love is how their insecurities with themselves are so very real because they don't fit the traditional standards for their genders ♥︎
It's really fun to see their chemistry and friendship grow and become stronger throughout the chapters. Besides romance, its got many funny scenes that don't take away from the more serious or romantic moments so it's great if you're looking for something a little more lighthearted.

Now, I can't say much else because to say more would definitely spoil the plot development, but all I can say is: If you're looking for a light hearted romance with comedy, friendship and slice of elements - this is a must read ♡

You know what makes Lovely Complex peak romance? That even after Risa realizes her feelings for Otani she barely changes her attitude towards him. She still calls him a stinky little midget rat but now you just add the blush to her expression and I find it cathartic
