The 1910s were about relaxed silhouettes, mid-length sleeves, peg top skirts, and Greek mythology cosplay, and don’t really have a good era name since they are barely the Edwardian era and not yet the roaring twenties. The Teens maybe??
I hit 1900 followers on Twitter and wanted to celebrate by drawing my art avatar, Gretel, in 1900s fashion. Thank you to everyone who has followed me, and I can’t wait to add to my witchy fashion line as we climb up through the decades!

For a long time I have wanted to open a crafting store that specializes in Halloween year round (costume making, spooky decorations, candy making, etc) and call it Witchcraft. This paintbrush riding, moon-capped witch is my art-vatar who is a master of art and the stars, using the cosmos itself to paint and create (coincidentally, you can’t spell star without art).
This witch is also an homage to my Texan roots (with the cowboy boots, cowboy hat/witch hat fusion, and serape inspired capelet).
As for name? My last name is Hansel. I think it’s only fair she be named Gretel.
