Hush now, dear children,
                    it must be this way;
                                 too weary of life and deceptions.
Rest now, my children,
                        for soon we’ll away;
                                           into the calm and the quiet.

> You yelp when he touched you the first time and merely flinch at the second. At any point, he’ll cuff you for being such a little bitch you’re sure of it.
Sorry, sorry, s-s-sorry…
> You bow to the other, tension coiling in your gut like a dragon that just wouldn’t let go. You feel like you’re going to throw up. You wrap your arms around yourself. How could you claim to help him when you couldn’t help yourself? He hated you. You can feel it coming off of him.
> You needed to get inside and hide. It’s the only way to redeem yourself in his eyes.

“There’s no need to apologize friend, it’s gonna be alright, just breathe slowly, in and out, you’re safe, I’m not going to hurt you, and I’m sure as hell not gonna let anyone else hurt you either.” he’d remark, his tone soft as he gave the other some distance, not wanting to crowd them, or make them feel claustrophobic.

“Can I do anything to help you? We can just sit down if that’s alright, and just introduce one another, all casual like, no pressure.” he’d state, tone still remaining soft, and reassuring.

S-sorry I just- I just-
> The combination of being outside and having to interact with a stranger is getting to you. Your stress levels are through the roof. You’re nearly close to crying. You can’t stand this. You should probably just go before you make a fool of yourself.
> Not that you haven’t already done that.
> You close your eyes and try not to shake yourself apart.

The Nomad would listen as the other stammered, he could see them almost shaking, his concern raising through the roof as he gently patted their shoulders, before moving to remove the mask that was covering their face, revealing a scarred, but overall quite a lovely visage.

A concerned look laid plain on his face as he laid a hand on the other’s shoulder again, “Hey hey, look at me friend, you’re fine, it’s gonna be alright, just breathe okay?” he’d state calmly, a soft smile coming across his features as he starred at the other, light blue eyes almost glowing.

“Make sure to tell me if you get worried. Or n-nervous, or claustrophobic, or uncomfortable or sick of me o-or-!!”

The Nomad would put his hands up as the other spoke, his head tilting slightly as he listened to the other ramble off nervously, almost incoherently.

He then moved to pat the other’s shoulders, resting them there for a second before chuckling. “Relax, you’re fine, you don’t have to worry about making a first impression upon me, nervousness when meeting someone for the first time is common.” he’d remark, a calming tone behind his words.

"Forgive the suddenness, but I had to say it, you're quite a magnificent specimen of a beast, ten outta ten." (Oni Genji Verse)

     What’s that  s m e l l ?

     His face turned to the origin of the voice, an unseen nose sought out the scent of the human- no, beast who approached him.

     Demon.

     Pointed ears quirked in attention, bright blue eyes dimming their glow as confusion washed over him. This wasn’t the proper way to greet someone.

     “Magnificent indeed, but I’m also not one of a kind. There are others like me. I could tell you more of my kind if you wish, but information comes with a price.”

     Yasuo hummed a quizzical noise. Never in the time he had been conscious did he receive a compliment. This man thought he was beautiful, while others often shunned him. It’s partially why he hardly left the forest.
     “I’m unsure what to say. I understand a ‘thanks’ are in order but.. other than that, I cannot find any words.” At least he was honest, prideful. With an arch of his back, Yasuo scratched the back of his head. Scarlet strands peppered with black and white shifted, momentarily brushing the floor as he moved. Squatting always seemed to dirty his hair.
     “An Oni? So you are a demon. I knew I smelled something impure with you.” Yasuo didn’t sound remorseful, nor did he seem bothered by the other’s presence. It was bittersweet, something shunned by angels. Plus he didn’t often get other monstrous visitors here.
     “What brings you here?”

“You don’t have to say anything, it’s alright, I know it was quite random, but I had to at least state it so you knew, I’m surprised you don’t get more compliments though, there are people who like your kind of beauty, they probably just don’t come around this kind of area.” he’d remark with a small laugh before observing the other once again.

“Ah, a good question, I don’t have a solid answer, I guess you could say I wandered, its kind of what I do, and it appears this time wandering led me to you, so it’s not too bad.” he’d remark, shrugging a bit.

He was beginning to realize something about the other, how they hadn’t looked directly at him yet, some of the mannerisms they were exhibiting, how he didn’t seem to even notice the hand that was outstretched a few moments ago.

Suddenly, he felt quite guilty for not knowing sooner that the other creature was blind.

“I....owe you an apology, I did not know you were blind, and here I was doing things you weren’t even seeing.” he’d mutter, slightly embarrassed at the predicament.

“I meant it when I said I would protect you.”

The Nomad would fold his arms, quirking his head slightly in reaction to the other’s words, before shaking his head. “Don’t need your protection, I’ve done just fine on my own, thank you.” he’d state roughly, grunting afterwards as he stared at the under from under his mask.
