the game itself has a good bit of colonialist themes and indigenous erasure, which means it's up to fans to educate themselves and be mindful of what things they internalise. this isn't a call out or guilt trip, i'm just asking people to be aware of the context behind the media they consume.

additionally, consider boosting ainu voices (especially about the game itself), donating to ainu individuals, and spreading awareness on the subject as allies.

hi!!! we’ve been trying desperately to avoid making this post, but we’re out of food and slowly running out of time.

I’ve talked a bit about our situation here and here, but to expand on it; me and my girlfriend, Chevy are two black, disabled lesbians and we’ve been trying to make it work with my extremely toxic family for years now but after covid hit everything’s been horrible.

the fridge has been broken for months now, and whenever we do have food, we either have to eat it all in one sitting or else it spoils. we’ve been making $30 dollars stretch for a few weeks now by only getting water and ramen and managing to scrounge up whatever money we can find, but we’re really out this time.

I would usually offer commissions but drawing with such a mental strain isn’t good for me, and my body has been weaker than usual (I’ve been in and out of the hospital recently) My girlfriend is disabled too, and most of the jobs around require a lot of heavy lifting, which would not be good for her. She wants to get her driver’s license so she could door dash, but since money is tight, that doesn’t really seem possible right now. We know other people are struggling too, but we really need help.

An incomplete guide to Ursula K. Le Guin’s novels and short stories

This is my best attempt at assembling a way to read a lot of Ursula K. Le Guin’s work and puzzling out her collections. This only includes her young adult and adult fiction stories because I’m more familiar with them, so if someone wants to add on with more information about essays, poetry, kids’ books, etc., feel free!

This isn’t very well-organized, so sorry if it’s totally unreadable, but it’s at least kind of a guide to where to find each story. It’s roughly organized by universe and the short stories that don’t fit in to any larger setting are organized by collection.
