Question from someone who's never been to tfcon: Because there's so much fighting and callouts (some valid, some obviously made by normies who shouldn't be in fandom) have you or a friend ever been confronted at cons?
Oh I'm just a guy LMAO. I stick to people I know, and I'm not very gregarious. In fact, I spent the last con hanging out with my friend and we did nothing but talk about Elder Scrolls for a solid 8 or so hours, occasionally interrupted whenever someone came up to talk to me. Everyone who did talk to me was super nice and cool!
I've had a few friends confronted but that's purely because they're tabling and therefore fall under the customer service umbrella where they kinda just gotta stand there and take it. If they could have left, they would have.
The fighting really is a small subset. Most people are there just because they like transforming plastic! Many aren't in fandom at all. I hope this doesn't discourage you from going to a con!
