Hey there just like a a lot of other people I just came here to thank you from the bottom of my heart for your stories. I just finished reading dav, it’s literally been the only thing I’ve been doing the past couple of days (and I do have a job but luckily it was the weekend) and I just couldn’t stop reading cause of how amazing it was. So thank you so much. This has a character limit so I have to be short, have you thought about how their first “I love you”s happened? Cause Im sappy like that

i am so happy you've enjoyed my "little" fic!! it always makes me happy when people take the time to reach out to me and tell me they've enjoyed this labour of love. so thank you!

as for the last question... well... my fingers slipped. here's a link. it's the reason why it took me a little while to answer you. ^^

Hey, long time follower, infrequent anon here. I haven't used tumblr for almost a decade but still check your blog every year (via your url like some kind of ludite) to just bask in the vibe and enjoy the fact you're still writing (1/2)

heyla! thanks for reaching out to me! it's always so amazing to see the response to my fics. i'm glad you enjoyed dav so much. i haven't changed the url of this blog yet but unless it is taken by the time i switch, the new handle should be "sauvreng".

to the (other?) anon whose ask i haven't answered yet: don't worry, an answer is coming, i am plotting hehehe.

Hi Aionwatha! I feel soo grateful for you after I finish reading dav! It's no exaggerating but I have literally dreamed about Kurapika and Kuroro in dav for the past few weeks, just because your story have left so much impression on my mind and my heart! dav truly made my daily life become happier <3 And I have to admit that I love reading your notes as much as I love dav. Knowing a little more about the amazing writer who dedicated a lot of time to creating dav makes me happy too!!! Love you!

hi anon-san! i'm so glad i could bring you so much enjoyment!! and i'm glad you enjoy the notes; i often wonder if i'm not being a little too personal in there, like perhaps i shouldn't talk so much about my life or something. knowing you like those reassures me a bit. and i guess people who don't can just skip them. aaah i wish i could dream of these boys but it hasn't happened yet. then again, i only ever have nightmares so maybe it is best this way, haha! dav was definitely a labour of love, and the amazing response i've been getting for it has left me feeling humbled and amazed. thank you for reaching out to me! these little messages warm my heart. may you dream of kurokura for years to come! 💜💜💜

last week i finished a chapter of battlefield but my usual betas out of commission. i've found one person to look it over but if anyone here is willing to beta, i'd like to have another set of eyes. contact on discord (aionwatha#6796), email (aionwatha{at}yahoo[dot]com) or through an ask here (but cross all fingers and toes that i get a notif, lol).
(yes I'm really out here dropping one chapter a year, don't @ me)

Hi Aionwatha, I just finished reading the DAV last month and it still has a lingering aftertaste. In addition to the plot, the cities krkr pass through are also very interesting, so I would like to ask if you refer to any places in real life when writing these cities? (I think I'll add them to my travel list♡)

again i got no notif from tumblr so i have no idea when this ask arrived in my inbox. (sigh, tumblr.)

as i recall i never had specific cities in mind when writing dav. i just used my own travels sort of? but didn't set out to describe specific cities.

in lock me up though, i set that one in chicago, simply bc of all the american cities i've visited, it was the most beautiful imho. and they happened to have a major art gallery i could use as basis for the fic.

i'm so sorry if this answer is three months late. tumblr is still the only social media app i use but it's not a daily thing. i've been wondering about maybe moving to somewhere more practical for my readers but i really am not that into social media unfortunately.

suggestions?

I realise it was six years ago that you wrote the ficlet of the Foxes finding out about Nathaniel and the Moriyamas, but I just have to say, if you even still check this blog, that it was PERFECT. You got all of the foxes in complete character and I could 100% see it as a 'deleted scene'. Thank you for sharing.

wow, i rarely get messages about that little ficlet, so this was a nice surprise in my inbox! i'm so glad you enjoyed it! it's the only thing i've ever written for the foxes but it was fun to play with them for a bit. glad you liked it!

Hi! I just recently read DAV and- wow, it was Amazing. Did you know how you wanted to end the story from the start, or did you want to see where the story would go? Did you ever consider a sad ending, as if one of them going through with the plan or them separating after what happened in Lukso, or were you set on them ending up together? I'll admit I honestly did not expect a happy ending, but it was a nice surprise<3

heyla there! i'm so glad you enjoyed reading dav!

the ending was pretty much set from the beginning. i didn't know how i was going to make them get together for a proper relationship, i just knew that that i wanted to get there..... somehow.

the exact scene i wanted was pretty much set in my mind before i wrote chapter 5, but again, the road to get there was... murky at best. so there was a lot, and i do mean a lot, of "seeing where the story would take me", though i tried to guide it along best i could.

a lot of things took me by surprise. i made some plans along the way that the characters refused to follow. it was an amazing adventure for me too, and i had so much fun with it (even when frustrated af).

all i wanted, was a fic with a believable progression from enemies to grudging allies to associates to trusted partners to lovers. everything between york shin and the ending of dav was basically like a mega roadtrip with a few determined pit stops and the rest left up to whimsy and adventure.

and i wouldn't change that for the world.
