I’ve been spoiled by the beautiful, wonderful writers in the Harry Potter community because now I’m looking for fanfics in Horizon Zero Dawn and find myself wanting. I’ve been consumed/obsessed with the game and its world for weeks now, barely peeking out for water and sunlight.
I’ve been bad with reblogging and commenting on this acount lately but I’ll be shutting it down soon so that there isn’t any confusion.

"Draco.”
Draco closed the space between them until only a foot of space separated them, controlling himself. His eyes traced up and down Harry’s form, confirming that every limb was accounted for, before nodding his head with a small smirk.
“You look almost as pale as me. Doesn’t quite suit you as well.”
Harry’s mouth dropped slightly, unprepared for the comment, before a wobbly laugh burst out. His empty hand rubbed down his tired face and over his greatly reduced beard, nodding as he rubbed his jaw for comfort.
“I was underground a lot, both figuratively and literally. At least there won’t be any tan lines if I give up on the beard,” Harry mused, looking for a safe topic. They both shared a boyish smile at the conjured image but the silence soon settled between them.
“You didn’t say goodbye,” Draco said when the silence had made its point.

After weeks of mulling it over I decided to change my username, only to make a typo. Fixed it but sheesh. TGIF.
My New Tumblr is Mescerises So if you want to migrate over to there and follow that account that would be lovely ❤.
Thing 1: I’ve changed my username on FFN. More-to-it-than-blood is long winded and irrelevant since it was the working title of a fic I trashed and never published. Now going by Desceries (the cherries, in French) I wanted to go with just Ceries/cherries but it was taken. Alas.
Thing 2: That all being said and done, I’ll likely make a sub/new tumblr with the same username but also keep this account going until no one even remembers the old username.
Thing 3: I’m almost done the next chapter of Silver Linings. It’s silly, but I’m waiting to post it until Chapter 34 meets a certain number of views, but don’t worry - it’s pretty close.
Working on Chapter 36 of Silver Linings, where perhaps our three protagonists will be having an important conversation. Or perhaps not.
*delicate shrug*

People have been so great about the latest chapters of Silver Linings, it’s been a little overwhelming. It’s wonderful to see people still following along with my little fic <3
I tend to wait for 25 reviews before posting a new chapter, if only to slow myself down, but it’s been so long since Silver Linings was being published regularly and I’m hoping that by letting myself get swept up in it, I can keep momentum and write the whole thing out. We’ll see.
Also quick note: there was a timeline inconsistency in the last chapter - it, as well as some typos - have been corrected.
Silver Linings has a new chapter up. It was actually written before the Infinite Dry Spell, so it should have a lot of the same feel, and hopefully this will push me into writing more because methodically trying to plot out the next bits has been going spectacularly (read: terribly. absolutely awful.)
Despite writing and rewriting new chapters and whole old swaths of Silver Linings, I instead today wrote approximately 8,000 words of a fic where hey, what if Mr. and Mrs. Evan’s didn’t treat one kid like they’re literally magic and the other one like they’re useless? Wouldn’t the world be rad?
Three chapters pretty much set, another underway, debating how far down this dank and cliche rabit hole I want to go.

This isn’t the place where I usually post this stuff -- but then again I haven’t really posted much of anything on here for a while given how busy I’ve been -- but I’ve managed to lose 40lbs.
I mean it wasn’t overnight or anything but hot damn, I have ankles again.
I gave my kid sister the first Harry Potter book for Christmas. She has not read the books or seen the movies. She knows none of the memes. She is the freshly fallen snow, untouched by the unwashed masses on their way to their daily drudgery.
She just got to the first Sorting.
I am dying with happiness over here.
GUYS
My boyfriend has taken up the first book and started reading it!! He never finished the series and it’s been a joke between us for years and now he’s reading the first book over again!
Good things come to those who make fun of those who watched the movies and figure that was good enough.
