My Dad and his new work in progress (Norbert K. Solarz in his workshop showing off his new birdhouse design with translucent roof).
When I was a kid that workshop was a magical place. The smell of cut wood, the sounds of saw blades spinning, how I loved to help out guiding the wood across the table saw. That workshop was my Dad’s studio, where he made everything from the custom desktops and cabinets in my bedroom to all the woodwork in our home. He is a craftsman, a sculptor and a mechanic all in one. He taught me that if someone else can do it you can figure it out too. He taught me to be meticulous and that craftsmanship is an art. I am blessed.
