from today’s stream!! a fun day at the beach (for Bilbo), and a stressful nephew wrangling time for Thorin ☀️

I tried filling Bilbo’s shirt and Thorin’s trunks with washi tape, it was very interesting!! the rest was shaded with alcohol markers. thanks everyone for showing up!!! 🍉

*takes a fat sip of my tea* what a great day to remember that you cannot “detox” your body, nor do you need to!!! your liver works very hard to do that for you (your liver, coincidentally, does not need to be “detoxed” either).

also a fantastic time to remember that detox/weight loss teas are diuretics and are designed to shit yourself to a certain weight, activated charcoal is useless unless administered as poison control by a medical professional, and please get yourself vaccinated!!!

The thing about falling in love, Bilbo thought, was that it was mostly a series of maybes.

He didn’t care much for the maybes. They left him feeling wrong, a little off-kilter, wrong-footed, like the solid ground had turned to mud beneath his feet and left him sinking. He wondered at what point one stopped falling in love and instead just got to live in it.

Maybe at the point where the person you’re in love with starts to love you back.

yeah i did exactly this. this is how children interpret panic attacks and such, so if your kid tells you they have stomach aches, especially sudden, around certain times of days, certain places, or certain events, they are likely having panic attacks
