Would you still love me if I was a worm? An art/fic collab I made with @kandisheek, @bladeofthenebula27, and @kappamairi You can read the fic and look at Mairi's art here on AO3, it's called "Would you still love me..." The whole collab was SO MUCH FUN <3
My art for @kandisheek! Does it make sense that Buckycap is at this wedding? No! Do I care? Also no! In other news: I like Bucky as Captain America. (aka: Bucky and Tony find a secluded place at Billy and Teddy's wedding. Why do you think Tony's tie was undone? ;) )
(I also made a stony version of this)
An Avengers Twilight themed gift for @sineala for the "You gave me a stocking" event. I tried to make it look similar to the style of the comic. Brain Jar Tony really needs some love. With how close the glass is to his face... maybe Tony can still feel a little warmth if Steve holds him long enough? His head is still human, after all.
Winteriron Fanart for the "You gave me a Stocking" event! Tony has a thing for knights, be it in modern times for dressing up, or as a king in a fantasy setting Made for @kandisheek <3 (I also made a stony version)
Stony Fanart for the "You gave me a Stocking" event! Tony has a thing for knights, be it in modern times for dressing up, or as a king in a fantasy setting Made for @phoenixmetaphor <3 (I also made a winteriron version)
MCU Tony WTF
okay, I keep seeing this in so many fics and it is driving me fucking INSANE...
Is there some comic canon somewhere that puts Tony Stark's birthday in 1974? Because I keep seeing in SO MANY FICS that he was "17" when Howard and Maria are killed by the Winter Soldier, and that is just WRONG.
MCU Tony was born May 29, 1970, and his parents were killed December 16th, 1991. That makes him TWENTY ONE when they are killed. Where in the fuck does this "17" thing come from???
It wouldn't get to me so much except that it happens SO OFTEN. If someone mentions an age when he's orphaned, it's ALWAYS 17, unless it's a blatant AU where it happens sooner or later. And it always jars me out of the fic so damn bad. WHERE IS IT FROM!??? Why do so many people say 17? Is that a fuck up factoid from one of the MCU artbooks or something? Is it fanon that people adopted because they have forgotten basic math? WHAT? Is it something said in Ironman 1 or something that I have flushed from my brain? I DON'T UNDERSTAND, because there's no ambiguity in the source material that I am aware of.
WHY do so many people keep trying to make him 17 when his parents are murdered?!? WHY 17?!
someone please explain this to me?
While I'm not sure where the 17 comes from, I'm pretty sure he initially wasn't meant to be 21 already when Howard died. The intro at the Vegas award ceremony in Iron Man 1 tells a summary of Tony's life, including that he graduated at 17 fro MIT. The newspaper clippings don't show a date or year as far as I can see. Then they talk about Howard Stark dying, leaving Obadiah in charge. The next line says "until at age 21, the prodigal son returns, and is annointed the new CEO of Stark Industries". I think that many people understood that to mean that Tony was not 21 yet when his parents died. (including me) I think his actual age was very obscure to find (and probably even harder to find now that it is very established in 1970). This Forbes article from 2008 lists him as being 35 years old: https://www.forbes.com/2008/12/18/tony-stark-money-oped-fictional1508-cx_de_1218ironman.html This amazon page still has an excerpt from the text of the official Iron Man novelization: https://www.amazon.de/Iron-Man-Peter-David/dp/034550609X There it says: "But Howard Stark’s greatest achievement would come in 1973 with the birth of his son, Tony,[...]" But even here, the dates don't match up, it later says "At seventeen he graduated at the top of his class from MIT. [...] Four years later, tragedy would pass the Stark mantle from father to son,[...]" But in the movie, the newspaper clipping DOES visibly say "Dec 17 1991" as the date they report about Howard Stark's death. Even being born in 1973 would still make him 18 by December 1991, but it's very close. I think fans went more with the timeline of Tony's achievements, than the "random" year of 1991 for Howard Stark's death, since that, at the time, was NOT something important, I think? But as we see, it doesn't all line up correctly with the information given after Iron Man 1. (also, back then, googling Tony's age or birthdate would possibly have given 1973?) Checking now, his birthday was established to be in 1970 in Avengers 1 the latest (In the deleted scenes where Steve looks through the files). Tbh I think I only realized in Civil War that he "suddenly" had already been 21 when his parents died. I have a vague memory of sitting in the cinema thinking "huh so they changed it?". Anyway. I didn't think this search would be such a rabbit hole, oops! I hope this answers the question though! TL;DR: After Iron Man 1, the timeline wasn't clear and even was contradictory. Iron Man 1 heavily implies Tony wasn't 21 yet at the death of his parents, and novelization of Iron Man 1 said his birth year was 1973 Also: damn you, now I am rewatching Iron Man 1 apparently.
Does Tony sorting centaur Steve's horseshoes out count as a foot fetish? 🤔
I'd say yes but only if he gets off on it? and no, if Tony's just doing it as a nice thing for Steve. Now i low key want to establish "hoof fetish" as a tag on AO3.......................... We need more Faun or Centaur or Minotaur AUs! :D :D :D :D
A picture for the "You gave me a Stocking" event! Prompted by @willidothefandango , who wanted centaur sherrif Steve with blacksmith Tony and I absolutely LOVE the idea! Tony is checking the hooves to make nicely fitted horseshoes, or, well, centaur shoes.
A sketch for the Winteriron Server Flash Bingo! For the prompt "Cooking together". Medieval/Fantasy AU: Prince Tony (in disguise) has been on the run for a while but now, the Ten Rings recognized and found him. He only escaped with Bucky's help, and still got his chest injured. Now, Bucky is travelling with Tony (who he assumes to be maybe a little smarter/more high born than he lets on, but definitely does NOT assume him to be the missing prince!!). Tony has a rough idea where to go: back to his kingdom where the power structure has been changing... To get there means travelling together, as Bucky agrees to go with him, and over their time together, they get closer and closer. And they have to navigate both the everyday troubles (how much food they have left, finding shelter, long days of walking) as well as the more troubling things (Tony's wounds, occasional bandit attacks?).
For the Winteriron Server Flash Bingo, for the December Prompt “Cold Toes”. Tony has some circulatory problems, so he gets cold feet a lot. After the initial shock, Bucky will warm him up and tuck both of them under the blankets. Kind of 616 themed because I have a soft spot for tall Tony and with everything going on, he alwaysn needs some cuddles.
