I will no longer be using this blog (not that I have in years), but I have no intention of resuming it. boycott eurovision 2024 and indefinitely until isra*l gets kicked out or ceases to exist. that’s all. there’s no way around it. it’s a shame when something I loved this much and grew up watching is so close to my home, but it’s been twisted into something so wicked with zero ethics, where money and the western status quo are the only thing that are given power. thousands upon thousands of not millions have called for the ebu to dq isræl, but they are not moving at all. if the song gets disqualified for “political lyrics” despite multiple alterations that’s the ebu taking the coward’s way, and unless isra*l ceases to exist, they will no doubt be welcomed back into the contest, just like bęlarus technically can apply to rejoin soon despite numerous breaches of ebu guidelines.

no doubt the ebu is aware of all this account posted, but they clearl refuse to move

so the best we can do now is make eurovision as irrelevant as possible. don’t tune in, don’t talk about the entries. a show legitimizing israël’s genocide and apartheid in any form should not be given any attention nor money. please make a moral decision and listen to palèstinian voices. don’t stay within the comfortable and “fun” habits of watching this that I and many others grew up with … anything legitimizing isræl literally kills

i’m going to try to explain this in very basic terms so everyone understands

the only reason russia was banned from eurovision is because the groups funding eurovision threatened to pull out if they were allowed to compete. these groups have not applied the same pressure to eurovision over israel committing genocide. these groups have not applied the same pressure regarding azerbaijan either.

no matter how much you hear the opposite, eurovision is extremely political. the ‘no politics’ rule exists to silence people the broadcasters disagree with. in 2019, eurovision was held in tel aviv. the icelandic group hatari brought out palestinian banners while their points were being announced, and they got booed and fined. politics are allowed if eurovision deems them palatable. war is ‘okay’ to talk about IF you agree with eurovision

belarus was disqualified for propaganda, israel should be too.

“but i’m in it for the music!” former eurovision acts are still making music.

“but it’s not as quirky!” listen to songs from outside of europe, you’ll have a great time.

“what about the stages?” other artists have creative stages that you can find very easily.

“but i’m in it for the contestants!” no, you’re not. you are in it for a song. every song probably has a song that sounds just like it, go look for it.

“i like the live music aspect!” you can watch concert footage. you can go to a concert.

“what about my country?” i’m sure there are local artists who would appreciate your support.

“i like how there are so many genres in one place” make a playlist with different genres. fucking listen to it. it’s the same thing. put it on shuffle even. god, you people can’t do anything

asiavision 2021 will be hosted in jakarta, and the slogan will be “broaden your horizons”, suggesting participants to open up their minds and senses to new experiences and perspectives, also referring to the vastness of asia. vector lines split the central design into four, showing ocean waves as well as an outline map of indonesia.

the theme art shows the prambanan temple, an unesco world heritage site; the 8th century hindu temple is located located on java, and was chosen to be displayed on the theme art due to the fact that the previous edition’s winning entry “lathi” by weird genius and sara fajira was partially sung in the javanese language.

Gratulatioun Ukraine!

Huge congratulations to Ukraine and their entry “Deja Vu” by Artem Pivovarov for winning the jury vote and the audience vote en route to a massive win at Tmblrvision 2021!

Congratulations as well to this year’s winning Head of Delegation, @kseniazhuk!

Let’s now welcome Artem Pivovarov to the stage for the winner’s reprise!

“Deja Vu” is the second non-English song to win the Tmblrvision Song Contest. It’s also quite a coincidence that a song with a French title won in a year where the slogan is in French.

Let’s have one more look at this year’s overall Top Ten with a recap by @mukario!

Here’s the full final scoreboard, including the jury and audience vote split for each entry:

Here’s the jury scoreboard:

And here’s the audience scoreboard:

Congratulations to all 39 Heads of Delegation for delivering another exciting year with incredible songs! We hope to have all of you back next year in Ukraine for the 7th edition of the Tmblrvision Song Contest.

Before we go, Artem Pivovarov has announced that he has one special surprise for all of us: A French version of his winning entry!

That’s it from Luxembourg!

Merci! Gutt Nuecht! See you next year in Ukraine!

I haven’t used this blog in a while, and I don’t think I’ll bring it back either, but

Thank you so so so much to everyone who voted for Ukraine! This feels so unreal since it’s my fifth time participating as well, lmao. Tmblrvision is always so much fun, because you find great songs you never would’ve found otherwise, and I’m just so happy that so many people said they’re glad to have discovered Deja Vu and added it to their playlists. It feels extra absurd with that margin, and I still haven’t completely calmed down afterwards, but, thank you everyone who voted for my entry! 🥰🥰🥰🥰 and a special thank you to Ren for all of your work on this great contest (and mukario)! Hope to see everyone next year in Ukraine!! 🇺🇦💙💛

and you better believe im side-eyeing all y'all for those 0 public votes to jeangu. "sing in ur own language" unless it "sounds like an african song" hmm? yes i know hosting countries generally don't get that many points but 0. for real.

thinking about the eurovision channel putting this in all of their video descriptions while still allowing israel and azerbaijan participate, and taking russia’s side when ukraine wouldn’t allow the russian participant, who had illegally entered occupied crimea, travel to ukraine in 2017
