His alterations usually average around 100 to 200 bells, and in New Leaf, native fruit is sold at retail for 100 bells. Essentially, you could make more shaking a tree for 3 apples in 3 seconds than he makes refurbishing your king sized bed. If a 100 bell apple costs $1 in the real world, that means Cyrus is getting paid far below minimum wage. Whether its your bed or teddy bear, Cyrus gets paid 200 bells, or $2. Our towns in New Leaf, much like the real world, severely undervalue artist's and builder's work and it makes me sick.
