An Intro

Hi, I’m Quiddity! (Otherwise known as Beth.) This is my storytelling simblr. My story may, at times, cover sensitive topics including but not limited to: consensual sex acts, alcohol and drug usage, violence, mental illness, and other mature topics which some readers may find disturbing. This story is meant solely for a mature audience and is not intended for readers under the age of 18. Trigger warnings and tags will be used appropriately and within context, however reader caution is strongly advised.

All nudity and adult situations tagged sim spice. Block this if you don’t want it on your timeline.

If you ever feel overwhelmed by any of the issues my story might raise, >you can seek help.< There are always resources, there are always people to reach out to. If you want to search online, the CDC’s page about mental health & addiction resources is an excellent place to start.

State of the Quid

I've been seriously struggling since my cancer treatment, and I put it all down to recovering from radiation and chemo. But after a trip to the doctor the other day, I've been diagnosed with acute anaemia! No wonder I've been finding it hard to tear through projects the way I used to. I'm hoping with treatment, I will start to feel strong enough to get my shit together and pick up things again.

Oh my god why did this take so long dammit travis.

the two most influential factors on this lookbook were: @its-opheliasgarden suggesting he should be a hipster on my desperate call for ideas, and @robertpancakes' iconic assertion that travis genuinely thinks he looks like ryan gosling.

if we draw a line between the two, this is where we find my travis: a doctor who fan circa 2011, who has to be at least a little cute to justify both a watcher-worshipper and a sentient claire's accessories fancying him.

also, side note: i don't make a habit of using things that don't have simlish but the sexy nerd tee was too on-brand.

Ways to support Ukraine 🇺🇦

More than 500,000 people have already left Ukraine due to the invasion by the Russian Federation. The European Commissioner for Humanitarian Aid and Crisis Management estimates that roughly 18 million Ukrainians will be affected by the conflict in humanitarian terms, with 7 million internally displaced and 4 million seeking refuge elsewhere. To help those still in Ukraine, as well as Ukrainian refugees, we’ve compiled this list of resources.

Misinformation spreads fast on social media. It is more important than ever to share accurate, verifiable news and information. Here are some resources to learn how to identify misinformation:

I think everyone should make dumb ugly zines and bad music and write shitty books with weird premises and publish them for pay what you will online. I think people should write plays that are only ever intended to be performed with their friends in their living rooms. I think people who like ttrpgs should explore bizarre itch.io games and new systems that have no affiliation whatsoever with any major publishing house. If youre lucky enough to have a cool local community radio station nearby you should listen to that and what people close to you have to say and what they're creating that has no focus on being nationally appealing. I just think creation should be more joyful and local both in a geographic sense and a personal and social sense and unconcerned with whether or not it will be commercially viable or slick or even good beyond your own pride in it. And I think it's good to seek out art that exists for its own sake or to appeal to the community it was created within
