Two idiots try (mostly successfully) to figure out the slow feeder.
The bigger cat missing a tail actually belongs to a neighbor. His name is Roger and he comes by all the time and thinks he lives here even though he doesn’t :’)

I have acquired another baby. A young feral cat (about 3-4mo) that needed a place to recover and is actually taming up really well. Name is Bubo :3
I could watch Bongo drink allllllllll day, he loves the water fountain and gets upset if it isn’t on when he wants to drink from it XD
One thing that’s wild about being an on call vet is how many people will just launch into the problem and expect me to know a.) exactly who they are or b.) which Tilly/Millie/Angus/Hamish/whatever they are describing with no context in the middle of the night.
As I swept the shavings out of the rabbit stall I found something grayish, animal-ish, and floppy, so I prepared myself for Dead Mouse but instead

Hey Everyone, I know it’s been a while.
Loa passed away at the beginning of December. At the time she was with a dear and trusted friend while I visited my family for the first time in over a year.
It’s always cliché, but Loa came into my life right when I needed her. She got me through vet school and through my first year as a practicing veterinarian and all the ups and downs in between (there were many).
I’ve put off writing this because it’s hard, it’s so hard to not have her here with me, and because I wanted time to come to terms with her death on my own. Afterall, Loa was the queen of my heart and light of my life, losing her has been a devastating blow.
So here’s to one of the best little birds in the world, I’ll always love you my sweet.
