For real! I honestly think that canon Ink is extremely likable. Srly i never seen one single soul who knows a lot about ink's canon and hate it.
The majority of people who hate him do NOT know inks character in deep. The only reasons that some people hate him is bc of:
1- Underverse (Not canon)
2-Mischaracterization (Also not canon)
In my opinion, all sanses canon versions are underrated, fanon tends to be more polular
And i 100% agree about people often overlooking some ink facts that explains his behaviour, i have one example:
A lot of people knows that Ink is a jerk, but most don't know why he's a jerk.
The canon explanation is that Ink is NOT a jerk at all, he comes off as a jerk for others in first meetings because he canonically doesn't understand social interaction and does not have an acceptable sense of what's rude. Which also causes Ink to be very blunt and direct with people (something that's almost always considered 'jerky')
Canon Ink is the type of person who instead of saying 'Hi' or greeting other people in social interactions, he instead goes 'i like your clothes!' or 'your face looks weird'. (he kinda looks like that super blunt kid who calls people 'fat')
He channels the same 'youre abnormaly tall' that Entrapta does.
We can definetly say that he doesn't have the same social filter that everyone else seems to have, which is also proved by Inks weird behaviour of calling everyone, evil or good, 'pal'. In a nutshell, he thinks that everybody is his pal.
As you can see (or read) i tap A LOT on the fact that he interacts and communicates with people in a different way, since it's a very big thing about ink's character.
Canon Ink is just... very weird, every aspect of his character are weird. The only normal thing about him is that he plays flute, im not joking.
Weird in a way of being different and not the bad type of weird y'know?
And i don't know if i should enter the fact that ink is very neurodivergent coded. For real, doesn't ANYONE also thinks that comyet describing his interests as 'hyperfixations' is extremly specific?? ANYONE???
