Hi! So I read something about Missing's ending on your recent asks. I read it a couple of months ago, and really love it! But, on Ao3 isn't marked as completed, while here the last update is on 12/01/22. May I ask for the link to the completed fic? (If is not done yet, sorry for asking! Miraculous but Gabriel is a writer of a failing comic/cartoon/other media form series so looking at how successful New York has been (Majestia having a comic) starts using the butterfly to maybe drum up sales.
He's now in too deep. He needs motivation. He needs to sales. He needs to find a way to not end up being beat up by two teenagers just because he wanted to be a successful author
Alya is convinced Gabs is Hawky because of the similarities in his series to their new reality. Nino looks at her panicked "oh no do you think Adrien's father was the first victim and now all he writes becomes reality?! That must be why he's such an absent asshole. If we save him perhaps then Adrien can have his family together"
Alya isn't convinced. Nino wants to save Gabriel and keeps breaking things in the Agreste house thinking it's an akumatised object. Marinette is worried they have the wrong target and Emilie fled in shame of her actions when she got akumatised (by accident) to support Gabriel's dreams only then to be trapped by her own akuma creations. Adrien doesn't know what's going on but his father's writing has gotten better though a bit more hateful towards the heroes....
Bonus note: When they then learn of sentimonsters they think that's what Hawky is and not just a "everything I draw becomes reality" like with Evilustrator. Nino still breaks things.
Note: He's still rich but less rich than he once was.

Of course I salt on Adrien. It's like adding a bit of salt to a bland dish to give it flavor because it's still worth the time and effort even if you don't particularly like it otherwise.
Gabriel is just shit. There's no point trying to add salt to make it appetizing. I've written entire essays on how much of an idiot he is. I expect nothing from this character.
But if you want to know my stories that make fun of Gabriel or call out his stupidity or horribleness...
Gabriel's Lament - where Gabriel makes the Wish and it doesn't go well for him. Plagg manages to take some revenge, however little he can get.
Take Out The Trash - Dolls AU where Gabriel tries to throw Littlebug away and she does not take kindly to this.
My-Crack-Ulous: The Movie Trailer - Just crack that pokes fun at the setup and Gabriel in general.
Papa's Day - Another Dolls AU where Gabriel sucks as a Dad and Adrien realizes he's a better one.
My-Crack-Ulous: Akumaid - More crack and Gabriel suffers.
Dolls at Play - More Dolls and more callout specifically at Gabriel.
Guardian Assistant Kevin - Where Villain Assistant Kevin takes Marinette as a client and calls out a lot of things including Hawk Moth.
Banned Movie List - More Dolls where they watch movies and get ideas.
Akuma-ed - More Dolls where Gabriel tries to akumatize the Dolls and it does not work out for him.

I don't hate Adrien. I am disappointed in Adrien. I critique Adrien. I salt him with a frustration for the potential I know that bad writing will never allow him to reach. But I don't hate him. I wouldn't have him be such a prominent and positive (if not still somewhat enabling and problematic) focus in the Dolls AU or give him a good ending in Missing or BURN THE WITCH if I did.
Gabriel, on the other hand, tends to be one of three characters I usually keep at the center of "unpleasant experiences" in stories I write just for the fun of it. I just speak less on him because I didn't expect as much from him in comparison to the deuteragonist, hero partner, and obvious endgame love interest of the series.
When it comes to Adrien and Gabriel, one of these two is a somewhat problematic character who could be handled better and easily forgiven if the writers would just acknowledged the shitty stunts he's pulled and have him learn from them and grow rather than just ignore that those stunts happened or are a problem. And the other is a problematic character with only one redeeming quality ("he did it for love!") who warrants bad things happening to him to make the audience happy and see some justice in this Miraculous world.
And yet somehow, Miraculous Ladybug fails on both fronts. We don't see Adrien learn and grow. And we don't see Gabriel get ANY comeuppance for his horrible choices.

How does Littlebug even know how these men are Bad Dads?
I mean it seems, to me at least, that she learned about them before she went to their universes.
Another day, another upload from Littlebug.
No one knew how she or Chaton got the doll avatars to work or look so lifelike, but their avatars were adorable and THEY were adorable and everyone went nuts over them.
It was especially fun to be there for her livestreams. Sometimes she asked questions from the chat. It was pretty evident from some of these questions that she was quite young and some of the viewers were a bit worried about her being safe and what she could be exposed to, but most of the audience seemed on board with protecting the little virtual stars, so they all seemed to have made an unspoken agreement to avoid more mature or inappropriate things.
Not that they had much to worry about. Mama Noire had apparently set a filter on the chat to keep it child friendly. And anyone who started getting too mean for Littlebug's taste would be quickly booted from the livestream. For a kid, she certainly knew how to manage things. And she certainly didn't tolerate bullies.
Though it seemed there was something else she didn't like if her recent query to the chat was any indication.

Doofenschmirtz: …all that to say, I am kind of off the market for an arch nemesis, though I do appreciate the offer! But I promised Perry the Platypus that I wouldn't take on another arch nemesis and then I promised my daughter, Vanessa, that I would stop my acts of villainy after she made me see that it wasn't actually healthy or what I really wanted in life. And now I'm helping out at OWCA, supporting my daughter, and sharing my non-evil inventions meant to help the world instead of trying to settle petty grudges. So I am sorry, but I hope we can still be occasional rivals or maybe allies?

Perry: (Chitters and pulls up a screen showing Littlebug)
Doffenschmirtz: Oh, the little living doll thing. Yes, she just left.
Perry: (Looks around warily and chitters)
Doof: What? No! She was perfectly nice!
Perry: (Gestures to Doof)
Doof: Oh, it turned out she actually wasn't looking for me, she was looking for my father.
Perry: (Worried)
Doof: What? What harm could she do?
TV Announcer: This just in! An attack in Gimmelshtump as an elderly citizen is being dangled from a rope off the condemned diving board at the old community pool.
Doof: (Eyes widen) …oh.

(In another universe, in the Fenton household...)
Jack: (Going to the kitchen when he sees a piece of fudge on the floor) Floor fudge!
(As he picks up the fudge, he notices another piece on the floor and proceeds to pick that up as well.)
(Then he notices another piece.)
(And another.)
(He follows the trail of fudge all the way into the basement and leading to the Fenton Stockades.)
Jack: And that's the last piece! (Picks up the piece inside the Fenton Stockades)
(The door slams shut on him, trapping him in the Fenton Stockades.)
Jack: HEY! Who's there?! Let me out!
Littlebug: (Nods resolutely and marks Jack Fenton's name off The List and starts to leave the Lab)
Voice: Ahem?
Littlebug: (Turns)
(Danny is standing there.)
Danny: You're not another ghost sent by Vlad to kill my dad, are you?
Littlebug: (Shakes her head and shows him her Bad Dad List)
Danny: Why is my dad on this list?!
Littlebug: (Gestures to the Fenton Stockades with a flat look)
Danny: Okay, I know that looks bad. But he's a good dad, really!
Littlebug: (Frown)
Danny: Look, I know he's fought me, but that's only because he doesn't know I'm half-ghost. And the times he found out, he was pretty supportive. I mean, there were situations going on at the time, so we didn't really get to talk it out, but he still seemed to care about me. Even in an alternate reality where I accidentally erased my existence.
Littlebug: (Uncertain)
Danny: If you want to look for bad dads, you should see Vlad Masters. He keeps wanting to kill my dad, marry my mom, and make me his son like some sort of twisted setup of Hamlet.
Littlebug: (Eyes widen)
Danny: So yeah, there are already enough plots against my dad, so I'd really appreciate if you—wait, where are you going?
Littlebug: (Holds up The List, now with Jack Fenton scribbled out and "Vlad Masters" written in on it)
Danny: ....you know what? Have fun.
(They leave.)
