SF Restaurant Week 2017 | Burma Love
Wrapping up this season’s Restaurant Week in San Francisco, BFF @hungrygirlinsf enjoyed another lunch date at Burma Love, one of the Restaurant Week 2017 participating restaurants.
Burma Love (Burma Superstar’s newest restaurant) reflects the culture of the Mission neighborhood where it is located – gentrified yet maintains its bohemian and artsy identity. Once again for mere $15! each gal, ($20 after tax and tip) we sampled delicious appetizers and main dishes. Portions were big enough that we got to taste each other’s orders and took half with us.
BFF ordered Burmese Tea Leaf Salad (crispy mix of nuts, beans, lettuce, fried garlic chips topped with fermented tea leaf dressing) and Pumpkin Tofu Curry while I order the Samusa (deep-fried pastries filled with curried potatoes) and Mango Chicken (chicken breast wok tossed with chili and fresh mangoes).
We really enjoyed our food and thought that everything was delicious! As always we had little presents for one another. It was a beautiful cool and bright winter day in San Francisco. After lunch she drove back to work while I walked back to the train station on my way to my office, and enjoyed the colorful murals that the Mission is known for.
