Tatters of Now - Chapter 28 (Part II of the Then, Now and Always series)

When the sun rises and the alcohol haze fades, only then do the true implications of what happened the previous night fully hit. The pain is raw and they have no idea how they’ll get back to where - who, what - they were before. It’s a long road but nobody ever said the path to redemption was easy. But it is always worth it.

Toby had always been a sound sleeper and while she didn’t admit it often, she enjoyed watching him sleep. With nothing in particular on her mind, she absently looped her finger into the bracelet on his wrist. She wore hers since he gave it to her and despite all they’d been through, neither of them looked worse for the wear.
“You want to know the story of yours?” His voice was thick with sleep, his eyes heavy as they fluttered open to see her face. “The bracelet that is,” he clarified.
“I know what you meant.” Happy laced their fingers together and he shifted slightly next to her, keeping close to her as she moved to her side.
“It’s not much of a story.” The way he looked away from her spoke volumes and she squeezed his hand. As she kissed his knuckles, he continued.

Tatters of Now - Chapter 27 (Part II of the Then, Now and Always series)

She laughed at that and kissed his cheek. “I wouldn’t want a celebrity mansion even if we could afford it, Doc. I just want something that’s cozy and us.”
“It’s a good thing you’re not looking for a celebrity mansion. I mean I’ve stopped gambling but still, it’s not like you’re dating Jake Gyllenhaal,” he teased, and Happy scrunched her face in disgust.
“Why would I even want to? Everyone knows celebrities have much more messed up lives and relationships than all of us combined.”

Is it awful i’m not mad they cancelled Scorpion?? I mean yes that was an awful way to end the series, but this season was a mess and it the show kinda lost it’s way especially with the whole Paige-Walter-Florence weird love triangle thing

It’s official. CBS has canceled Scorpion. I will very much miss this cast being together & hope to see them all return to television, I really cannot blame the network. Over the top story telling, inconsistency, it went so far downhill. I barely paid any attention to this last season as it no longer held my interest. I most definitely blame the writers for this one. I just wish we got a proper ending

Happy: Walter how dare you keep your little side piece Flo a secret from Paige for weeks; of course Paige will be livid and possibly never forgive you I'm jumping ship with her bye
Also Happy: *was a-okay keeping Walter's secret marriage (and therefore wife a.k.a. herself) a secret from literally everybody for over six years; expected Toby to forgive her immediately and stay with no blowback whatsoever, and still hasn't bothered to so much as apologize for any of that*

“Perfect.” He nuzzled into her neck and she couldn’t help giggling as his scruff tickled her.
That was one of his favorite sounds in the world, and when he told her that, she blushed a little and cuddled closer to him. Toby could feel from the way she nestled into him that she was still cold and couldn’t help laughing a little as he rubbed her arm to warm her up. Happy all but whined, mumbling how Brittany was much colder than LA and it wasn’t funny, but he argued it kind of was.
“I’m your personal space heater, remember?” Toby’s eyes were twinkling, and Happy couldn’t help laughing too despite herself. Snuggling closer, she told him that all she needed was him and how being in a different environment from home helped her adjust to this new, closer than ever dynamic between them.

4.15 || Toby & Amy scenes

#cbs scorpion#team scorpion#toby curtis#amy berkstead#I’m not saying that he should ever cheat on/leave Happy#or even completely trust Amy again for that matter#I mean she did really hurt him and that's wrong no matter how much he forced her hand#but they had a really great dynamic this episode#yes it resulted in him gambling again#but that wasn’t her intention and she kept checking in to make sure he remained grounded despite being back there#this was one of the first times in a long time I’ve seen Toby genuinely smile#I really want Amy to recur more often#Toby deserves a good friend outside of just the team#they all do really

#cbs scorpion#team scorpion#happy quinn#I'm not undermining what she did#getting Toby to stop gambling was incredible#but she is taking a little more credit than she deserves#lets be honest here#the only thing she did was that talk end-2.18 and yell at him end-2.20#he was the one to had to stop cold turkey overnight#and do all the hard stuff on his own#cos by 2.23 she was secretly gambling behind his back with no regret whatsoever#not as supportive a girlfriend as she likes to think she is...#if she keeps patting herself on the back that hard she’ll be slipping a disk for real

If Paige kissing Walter when he’s unconscious (1.22) is called out as assault and a crime, how is Happy hitting Toby (2.18, 3.08 etc.), throwing tools at him with the intent of them making contact (1.20, 3.17 etc.), and making threats of physical harm (2.06, 2.17 etc.) not called out as assault and crimes?

Also she straight up committed marriage and immigration fraud, then lied to a federal agent about it. If those aren’t crimes, I don’t know what is.

#cbs scorpion#team scorpion#happy quinn#Happy sure was quick to throw Paige under a bus with I'm pretty sure (1.22 kiss) is a crime#but has she ever apologized for all the times she's physically assaulted Toby?#I don't think so#and her threats of physical assault aren't just at Toby#Sly is a frequent victim of those too#not to mention how she and ex-hubby dearest committed federal crimes for over half a decade#and got away scott free#while Cabe was arrested and put on trial for something he was forced to do#wow are the double standards of this show beyond ridiculous

The end scene was sweet, and a great parallel to 2.17, but why is Happy only upset about losing Toby now? She didn’t seem to give a damn in 4.13 when she thought he died, immediately announcing to everyone how he ruined their honeymoon.

(Also why are all the big apology scenes only after Toby screws up? How come we’ve never gotten a scene where Happy has to grovel and apologize, despite her many many mistakes in this relationship?)

Low key disappointed that Walter and Toby had cute nicknames for each other as their phone contact names since way back in 2.19 (remember ‘Ego-Maniac’ and ‘Know-It-All’?), but even now Happy’s is just ‘Happy’.

Quick question: did they buy a new Cleopatra costume or something?

Because according to this little scene right here:

the costume is now nothing more than scraps on that deserted island. They very well could have bought a new one, but as with some of the other issues I have with this show now, it would’ve been nice if they bothered to mention it somewhere.

Though with all the blatant continuity errors on the show, I also can’t put it past the writers to remember the costume from 3.06 but forget that it was ripped to shreds in 3.25…

@wrenchbouquet and I are finishing up this last chapter and want to share a bit of fluff from it. We love all your feedback on this fic and are looking forward to wrapping up part two in anticipation for all we have planned in part three of this series =D

I got another related anon ask, so I’ll just answer both together. Note: I’ve already answered a similar ask before, so I’m just adapting that response here:

I don’t see what I post as hate posts. All I’m doing is pointing out the blatant double standards, hypocrisy, and unhealthy relationship dynamics that the show has made canon. Admittedly my tags can get bitter, but the posts themselves are simply facts taken from what they have shown/told us on the show.

If you’re asking why I’m posting them now, it’s because I just watched 4.13 and want to express my feelings about it. (I don’t post as much about other episodes as I generally can’t be bothered to watch what this show has devolved into anymore. I watched 4.13 in particular as I wanted to see how Amy added to the dynamic.)

If you’re asking why I’m posting- as you call it- “hate” at all, this is a free internet and I can post whatever I want to, especially as none of them are personal attacks on any real people.

And for the most recent anon asking why I am “so angry”, you should know that I’m not angry at all. Yes I am very disappointed in the writers for devolving what used to be my favorite show, and in turn that makes me bitter, but that doesn’t mean I’m angry. It’s possible to be disappointed and bitter but still remain calm.

TL;DR: If you don’t like my posts feel free to block and/or unfollow me, but I will continue to post whatever I want to.

So when Toby got jealous in 3.24 that Jake G was Happy’s ex cos he was hotter/richer/famous etc., Happy essentially told him to suck it up buttercup and get over it.

But when Toby’s ex seems more attractive and successful than Happy, she can throw a bitch fit for the entire episode?

It’s nice Walter feels guilty about his head injury-induced dream marriage to Flo and confesses/apologizes to both Flo and Paige about it. Now if only he could’ve felt guilty and confessed/apologized for keeping his real marriage to Happy a secret until Mark freaking Collins was more honest to Toby than his own girlfriend was, that would've been nice too…
