Silver Gulls are true beach lovers! They forage in the surf looking for things that washed up, worms and invertebrates living in the sea weed and rock pools and the little creatures that dwell in the sand. #gull #bird #birds #seabirds #birdsofinstagram #photography #animals #animalphotography #wildlife #nature #naturephotography #wildlifephotography #australia #beach #ocean #sea #sealife (at Port Elliot, South Australia) https://www.instagram.com/p/CKcov40BoJC/?igshid=3uxwzz8jnjnk

Terns are some of the most wide ranging birds in the world, with the Arctic Tern migrating more than 30,000km. Travelling from the Arctic circle to the southern Ocean, they see more daylight than any other species. This Australian Tern doesn’t migrate as far but it does dive for fish off South Australia’s coasts. #seabird #birdsofinstagram #birds #photography #animal #animalphotography #nature #naturephotography #ocean #sea #wildlife (at Granite Island Victor Harbor) https://www.instagram.com/p/CJr_Nj3Bs8J/?igshid=1d40h5eh8d3ad

Tamarins, like these Emperor Tamarins, are some of the smallest primates in the world. Their small size let’s them run along the thinnest branches in search of fruit and insects. #monkey #primate #wildlife #wildlifephotography #nature #naturephotography #colombia #zoo #cute #cuteanimals (at Adelaide Zoo) https://www.instagram.com/p/CI4f5sXB9du/?igshid=1ib4m0dce44f9

There are two types of monkeys alive today, Old World and New World. The Old World monkeys, like this Colobus, are found throughout Africa and Asia. New World monkeys from South America are unique because only they have a prehensile tail, which they use as a fifth limb to help climb through the trees. #monkey #zoo #adelaide #monkeys #animals #wildlife #nature #naturephotography #wildlifephotography (at Adelaide Zoo) https://www.instagram.com/p/CIkhXYHhpXT/?igshid=1mbtuu0xx9vxp

It may look like a flowing cloak but the Black and White Colobus’ long fur helps keep them dry in their Congo home. These old world monkeys live in family troops and spend their days foraging for fruits and flowers. Sadly due to the bushmeat trade and habitat loss these primates are now endangered. #monkey #primate #animal #wildlife #nature #zoo #australia #wildlifephotography #naturephotography (at Adelaide Zoo) https://www.instagram.com/p/CH303cEhCOs/?igshid=1ihdovqomkgg0
