hi everyone im officially returning to langblr! 

had to take abt a year break from languages but im back now:) i also have new language goals. im still very interested in french but i have also become very interested in learning ancient greek and middle egyptian. unfortunately, my community college doesn't offer ancient greek so im going to casually study on my own until i can attend a class. ive also grown interested in linguistics, if anyone has any good books or resources for ancient greek/egyptian/linguistics pls let me know!

happy to be back and hopefully i can start making good content again:)

i didn’t watch more than a few minutes, but check out the Bradley Cooper one!! 

❤his life clearly flashes before his eyes when the french interviewer starts talking, which we can all relate to 

❤his french isn’t perfect 

❤still really good tho, but that doesn’t stop him from struggling to understand the interviewer (spoken french is HARD, especially on the spot)

❤he laughs it off when he gets confused, remains confident, keeps his accent, and just interjects the english words he can’t express without lingering on them (‘masters’ etc) 

❤it doesn’t matter that he isn’t fluent, you can clearly understand him, his french is impressive 

❤go bradley 

❤you don’t need to be perfect to communicate well and enjoy your language 

❤we are all too harsh on ourselves sometimes

I haven’t seen many people talk about this, so I wanted to mention that the fluent forever youtube channel is great if you want to improve your pronunciation. He has pronunciation guides for Italian, Korean, Mandarin, Cantonese, Hebrew, French, Dutch, Spanish (European and Latin American), Cantonese, English, Russian, German, Hungarian, Portuguese, and Japanese. I find it really helpful as he breaks down each individual sound in the language, what your tongue position should be, and gets a native speaker to give an example. Just thought it would be helpful to some people :)
