So I finally have created a Patreon! Please check out my profile link! This is for people who have wanted to support me more directly as doll customising and sourcing parts can get quite expensive.

As for right now, all my Patreons will be getting content about a week early, and individual tiers will allow for some perks that won’t be available publicly such as having input and seeing work in progress stuff I am not sure will see the light of day otherwise.

If you don’t want to pay, don’t worry as I will continue to share more work, it’ll just be on a staggered time schedule. I figured a Patreon would allow me to explore more ideas without feeling overwhelmed as much.

i do think that a lot of people mistaking moral ocd for having a moral compass is understandable but also a bit funny. why does your moral compass involve fearing the invisible watchful specter who may be judging your every move lest you make your intentions clear at every turn and over explain your actions. you dont have to answer this question

it's funny when someone on here is like very obviously still a 4chan user but tries to be this tumblr left-adjacent person so you'll get a person who titles their blog "puppy who bites cops" and then'll they use words like the r slur or "brainlet" and actively greentext

I always intended for my first custom Elphaba doll to have a non canon outfit to go with my other Elphaba dolls but I was kind of stuck on what to sew since I didn't like how large the Liberty London fabric print was.

It wasn't until I found out Primark had a set of heatless curlers with custom Wicked fabric that I felt inspired to make something for her.

I really liked the fact it says Elphaba Thropp on it and the colours did feel very in line with Elphaba as a character so I knew I could make something with it.

I experimented with different silhouettes because I wanted to emphasize the print placement without too much fabric waste and I settled on this as the mutton sleeves were large enough to accommodate the W logo, and the faux open front design meant I could split the blouse up to get the right placement with some careful tetrising the pattern pieces and have the motifs line up.

I didn't quite have enough fabric for a fuller or longer skirt and I had to carefully make the skirt into several panels to retain the pattern orientation. If I just kept the fabric as is, the W would be sideways and I would be bothered lol.

I also wanted to pleat the fabric but even with interfacing the satin was so cheap that it didn't hold a shape even after ironing, so I just opted for a gathered skirt.

I am really happy how Elphaba looks in it and it's really fun having custom fabric that's so character specific.

ha great use of the curler fabric, I really like this shade of green

it woulda looked cool pleated but I think gathered goes better with those sleeves

I guess you'd have to stitch down every pleat edge or really melt the fabric to get a fold ... wonder how it'd react to a lighter along a crease

I must admit I actually melted a whole section of fabric when trying to pleat the fabric, causing me to just make it gathered lol. That fabric did NOT wanna be pleated lol

Abby looks so cute in the Blueberry Muffin set.

I did add some ribbon to make the jacket look more finished, but it is otherwise unmodified.

On a curvy made to move body for the moment.

A better hybrid idea is not exactly leaping to mind. I have some Moxie Teens that are taller but they're so skinny. Yes her original body is out of the question. XD I thought at first I would have no problem because I would just be covering it up, but no, it is an offense to my sensibilities 😂

Anyway the head is so small and delicately sculpted, I was utterly charmed the moment I unboxed her and laid eyes on that face in person.

Wonder who the artist is.

It will be a bit difficult to photograph her with the permanent sort of worried expression. But I must confess I have a huge weakness for a concerned face on a doll. They're quite few and far between.

I love Wicked, I love Elphaba but I love fashion dolls first and foremost so I love redressing my dolls.

I'm really happy to add a new Elphaba to the mix and now she has her own custom outfit, especially since the fabric is made specifically for Wicked.
