Do you ever forget that the people in your life, the ones who are supposed to be safe and understanding… do you ever forget that they aren’t? That they to will turn and trade safety for hostility? That words commonly said in soothing are turned poisonous?

I desperately wish to remember, to guard myself dutifully and protect myself… but I just keep forgetting that they’re not safe.
