You realize things are never going to be easy, especially at this level. There’s no doubt getting swept was a wakeup call for all of us. I think we can all take a hard look at ourselves and be better, and that starts with me.
an amazing 1-on-3 individual effort by hayden for a short-handed look by toews ( vs NSH. 10.14.17. )
john hayden’s first official nhl fight: the aftermath ( 10.12.17. )

I’m waiting at the airport so let me tell you a bit more… so he noticed me during warmups. First he did a double take, then his next lap he nodded at me. Then the fathead I brought got stick taps and a puck chucked at it from him and he kept looking and laughing.
After the game I went and waited out where people had told me players leave from and he was the second guy out. He pulled over in his fancy new car and signed my jersey. He asked if I drove here and I told him I flew (his girlfriend was translating some stuff). Then I asked for a pic and I got the typical car pic, but then he asked if I wanted him to get out of the car for a pic. And I was like omg yes. So he did and he kept thanking me for continuing to support him, he was fucking adorable.
@BlueJacketsNHL Thumbs up for @9Artemi’s first #CBJ goal!

Hey all!
On November 4th, I’m doing Extra-Life: a 24-hour video game marathon to raise money for children’s hospitals. In order to give some incentive to donate, I’m doing a raffle! 100% of raised money goes to the hospitals & the kids. Find my donation page here to read more about the organization.
You can donate anytime between now and the end of the event, which is 8AM CST on November 5th, 2017. Please feel free to send me any questions - and if you can’t donate, reblogging does a lot toward helping spread the word and benefit the children.
Now let’s get to the good stuff:
Prizes
- $115 toward your next game tickets
- A shirsey/shirt and hat of your choice ($60 value)
- Swag grab bag (socks, little toys) with items from your team ($60 value)
- Gift card to the NHL store ($40 value)
- A 5-10 page fic of your choice
Rules
- Go here and donate $10 or more to enter. For every $5 you donate above $10, I’ll add your name to the pool an additional time.
- E.g., $10 = 1 entry, $15, = 2 entries, $20 = 3 entries, $25 = 4 entries, and so on.
Other rules under the cut:
