A/N: This is unbeta’d and the product of me rewatching Avengers End Game.
The house still smelled faintly of icing, that and the odd balloon were small reminders of the birthday party the day before. It was quiet in the house save for the thudding of your heart. You sat on your bed, and shifted anxiously; a strange feeling of disquiet rising in your chest.
After breakfast, your mom had given you an envelope with your name scrawled on the outside in handwriting you didn’t recognize. There were tears in her eyes, a sad, bittersweet smile on her lips as she kissed your forehead and murmured “I love you”. You looked at her questioningly but she shook her head then went to sit on the front porch swing, taking her coffee with her.
You opened the envelope and pulled out a folded up piece of paper with the same handwriting as what was on the envelope along with a small flash drive. The small metal stick was heavy in your grasp as you rolled it around in your palm. You scrambled off your bed to your computer, plugged it in, then opened the video file. A man in a black Stetson with a bushy mustache, holding a baby appeared on your screen. You took a deep breath then pressed play.

Ma’am you reblogging those Triple Frontier headcanons of the boys has sent me down a rabbit hole and now I feel the need to search for/read all of the Miller brothers fanfics I can find.

First of all the incomparable @autumnleaves1991-blog has a Benny/Santi/reader that literally made me fall in love with Benny. She’s got lots of good stuff for Will too.
@de-profundis-ad-astra has a fabulous Will and Benny Hunger Games AU that I literally cannot stop thinking about. So much delicious brotherly angst.
Everywordnotsaid on AO3 has a fabulous Will and Benny fic set before the movie that focuses on Benny training to be a fighter. Full of brotherly love and angst.

As the months passed, Richard Westingham became a regular part of Santi and Esperanza’s lives. He proved himself to be a fantastic grandfather, or “Papa,” as Princesa preferred to call him. Lacy had been shipped off (on threat of disinheritance) to another state, and had no longer been a problem for the small family. Papa Westingham had also turned out to be an excellent mentor to Santiago as well, a factor that the younger man was continually thankful for.
Richard could see the way that Santiago looked at Leah, and he remembered it well, it was the same look that he had given to his dear Ella, Lacy’s mother. He missed her every day, he told Santi, and had honestly tried to give their daughter the best life she could have, but between losing her mother at a young age and her innate wild streak, the girl just would not be tamed. He had assured Santiago several times that he had done his best to raise her not to be so focused on money, but all that Lacy had ever focused on was money and what connections and power it could bring her.
I LOVE that Leah played the UNO reverse card on Santi. These two were truly made for each other!

The finger jabbed in his chest hurts, but he’s willing to take it since it’s the closest contact he’s had to her in almost a month.
“I was an ass, I’ll admit it, but what needs to happen for you to realize that I don’t want you to go? That I want you here and need you here? After Esperanza you’re the very air I breathe and I’m not ready to let you go. What do you need me to do?”
Leah’s eyes dart between Santi’s eyes and his mouth as he moves to wrap his arms around her waist, keeping her pinned in place. His grip is light, clearly meant to indicate she could leave if she wanted to, but she doesn’t want to leave, she doesn’t want to move, she doesn’t want to lose the feeling of his hands on her.
“Let me in, show me that you want me around. Let me help you, Santi,” she whispers, her face now mere inches from his.
Listening to her words and finally having her in his hands was helping quell the fire that had been burning through Pope’s veins from the moment Leah had handed him her resignation.
“Let you in? Will you let me in?” he asks, looking from her eyes to her lips and back up. She nods yes, giving him permission, and he pulls her against him, lips slotting against hers with a soft sigh of relief at the feeling.
