Jenni and Lu(Ja'Lujnir) are mine and my friend's characters. For some odd reason both of them are dragonborn which causes quite a bit of confusion for everyone involved.

My Hero of Kvatch! Her name is Maelonia Cinnelius and @thescrolls-haveforetold were the ones to bring her to life!
She was orphaned at a young age and ran away from the orphanage after deciding she wasn't going to live in those squalor conditions
So she became a street rat, stealing whatever she could to survive in the Imperial City, joining up with other children like her, and running from the Imperial Watch when things got too dicey. It was a good life, one she could somewhat enjoy Sue to not having any responsibilities to others save for herself
But everything goes wrong when she's in her early 20s as she's betrayed by people she thought were friends, and she's taken to the Imperial Prison. And that's where her destiny and story really starts

A breeze drifted by, carrying the first smell of fall. Crisp and cool, the air clear for once. A leaf, golden and brown, fell beside her. The gentle lapping of waves on the lake shore eased her tension, shoulders relaxing. She could almost forget the war raging in Cyrodiil, the three alliances vying for control of the Ruby Throne, communities being destroyed and ways of life ruined.
She could almost forget that she’s died.

Hello hello - boomslang and stiletto snake venom is super different, but I think boomslangs could be used as a very effective threat for your baddie to bust out!
Boomslang venom is much more severe than stiletto snake venom (usually - we'll get to that in a bit), and is very strongly hemotoxic. It can cause severe bleeding from mucus membranes (nose, mouth, eyes, etc.) and into organs. It's gnarly stuff.
But it's also very slow-acting (like, we're talking twelve-hours-after-the-bite slow), and boomslangs do have trouble envenomating people because they still need to be able to chew on you for a bit. They're good-natured snakes who are reluctant to bite, and when you combine that with the need to chew to envenomate, envenomations are very rare. Very different from jumpy stiletto snakes who will stick you as soon as they look at you!
I do think the nature of their bite is scary enough to work well as a threat, though. No one wants to bleed from their eyes. Their venom is unpleasant in a way that is just viscerally upsetting for most folks. The second reason they work best as a threat is because the effects of their venom is super variable between individuals. Some will give you symptoms no worse than a hognose, and some will make your eyes bleed. There's just no way of knowing.
There's also the fact that the villain most likely knows this about boomslangs but that doesn't mean the other person knows!
People who don't know much about snakes tend to be pretty fearful, especially if there's the possibility of venom, and especially if they don't know how venom actually works
I hope anthropologists find this post years in the future and are baffled and confused.
