Hi, sorry for the kinda out of the blue this message is, but I am also going through AML right now and I am only 23 and I just want to know if you have any advice, I don't think I will need a bone marrow transplant, but I've only seen curative from doing transplants and I still have sudden just fears of dying and all that, I hope that you can get back to me, Thanks for your time and hope you are doing amazingly!

I dont’ know how long ago you wrote this but I hope you are still battling like a warrior. She was amazingly strong and an inspiration to people around the world. She is fully alive ~ just not in this universe. Fully healthy, beautiful, never sad. She actually defeated the aml; once in remission it never returned. She had a transplant that was completely successful too. But the hospital staff transferred a super bug to her and she left us in 2 days. Happy that she achieved glory. Counting the days until I see her again.

My name is Kayla, I’m 22, and I have acute myeloid leukemia, with a rare genetic mutation called DNMT3A that shortens my lifespan.

Because of my type of leukemia, combined with my mutation, I require a bone marrow transplant to hopefully be cured from this horrible disease.

Unfortunately, this is going to require my family and I to move across the country to Minneapolis to receive my necessary treatment. This treatment and recovery could take around 4-6 months.

I’ve tried my best to keep my cancer off this blog, but I am in need of help now. The medical & living expenses, on top of possibly having to rent a car in Minneapolis, groceries, and travel for my Dad (who has to stay in Florida) to come visit, are going to be a bit painful.

I hate asking for money, and I don’t want anyone to feel pressured. If you could at least pray for me during this process and share this post, I would be eternally grateful!
