before the poll, a quick definition of terms:

"mutual" - you found this post from a mutual (on their blog or your dash) "following" - you found this post from someone you're following, but who isn't following you "random" - you found this by scrolling through someone's blog, who you don't follow. this includes people following you "For You" - you found this on the For You page "recommended" - you found this in a "Check out these blogs" popup, or a "recommended" post when looking at a different post "other" - you found this post some other way. comment how? "reblog ✅" - you're going to reblog, queue, or schedule this post "reblog ❌" - you're NOT going to reblog, queue, or schedule this post

with that out of the way:

a weird thing is that we got waves of people going "who cares if its cringe or youre annoying! have fun!" but no one really learned how to accept the fact that some people will find you annoying or think your art or your work or posts or anyrhing sucks and thats ok. rather it just became a weird "if people think youre annoying theyre just morally bad. let people enjoy things!". like no i think this yes man only biome sucks and people are allowed to not like artstyles and shows and media and other things

if youre an artist, a creator, or just someone whos involved in hobbies: learning that no matter what you do, some people will find you annoying is extremely important for your mental health, just as learning that not liking things is normal and youre allowed to do it

as people have mentioned in the tags, i think this yes-man attitude leads more people to make up random moral reasons to dislike things. if disliking something for no reason is bad, then you have to constantly justify yourself as to why this thing sucks, which is also not mature and sucks

Please follow, share, and interact with Madleen @palestinianmother's videos on tiktok to help bring more awareness to her campaign. Here is the link to her tiktok page:

Please also share her gfm link and donate if you can:

Here is a very worrying update from Madleen about her son Mohammed:

Madleen's son Mohammed has been injured on his eye from a rocket shrapnel and according to the doctors his cornea has been damaged. I can't imagine how hard this must be for them. Please do spare a prayer for Madleen's children. Donate if you can and keep sharing.

Her gfm is currently at $27, 555 / $70, 000

Please help Madleen reach at least 30,000. She told me that they are waiting for their gfm to reach this amount so that her brother who reached Egypt could register them for travel.

Help me push this just a little bit more guys, for Mohammed's sake. The poor boy's eye is injured and Madleen said that the problem is that there are no medications to treat patients. She said that a doctor promised to give her eye drops for Mohammed. I don't think that would be nearly adequate enough to treat this kind of injury. I feel so bad for them.

cant believe there arent any night hood/arsene lupin cartoon and lupin iii crossovers on ao3.......................................

i think this specific version of arsene lupin looks a lot like lupin iii despite Wanting To Be BTAS So Bad It Looks Stupid but more important is the idea of reporter kelly kincade specifically being lupin iii's grandma. since shes arsene's love interest in that cartoon. and i mean, one special shows that his grandma was a redhead and kelly is a redhead. his dad has a very specific hairstyle in lupin zero. and kelly just so happens to have a similar if not the same hairstyle. both lupins ii and iii have the permanent :3 mouth. what do you know, kelly also has a permanent :3 mouth. listennnn

does anyone know where I can find good reference images of victorian-era wheelchairs? I want to draw the jovial contrarian but all the wheelchair art refs/tutorials I can find are for modern wheelchairs

okay so here's a few photo's i have on hand for ref

Image from that one, circa late 1860s.

This one in particular is noteworthy as : "unlike a typical bath chair, the wheels are fitted with an extra ring to allow the chair to be driven by the passenger. " so perhaps keep that in mind for drawing too

So i usually go off of the old picture + combine some facets of modern wheelchair for Fallen London, since i think The Neath could have some of it own technological advancments

Hope these are helpful!

Here are a couple of pages from two Silber & Fleming catalogues from the 1880s (first, second), listing various types of wheelchairs for sale.
