Say Something

Title: Say Something

Pairing: Dean x Reader

Word Count: 6,679

Warnings: Minor Angst, General Spn Angst, Fluff, Unrequited Love, Christmas

Summary: Christmas comes and goes every year. Most years it goes by as a regular day. This year, you want to spend it a little differently. A cabin in the woods with your chosen family, and the man you had been head over heels for since the beginning. Who would have thought that this Christmas would be filled with everything you dreamed of growing up.

Squares Filled: Bed Sharing ( @spnfluffbingo2019 ) Winter ( @spngenrebingo) and Cabin in the Woods ( @spndeanbingo)

A/N: This is also my submission for @atc74 Duets Reboot Challenge. My song of choice was Say Something by Justin Timberlake and Chris Stapleton. I hope you enjoy this festive series! As always, feedback is greatly encouraged! happy reading!

You walked through the halls of the bunker, heading straight for the library quicker than you ever had before. Your room wasn’t too far, but when you wanted to get there fast, it seemed to take forever. You mind was filled with excitement, ready to bring up your brilliant idea to your two best friends.

In the distance, you could hear them chatting away about a recent case you had just wrapped up on. It was a little more difficult than usual, and there was a few bumps and bruises along the way. The three of you managed to get the job done regardless, and that was what was important at the end of the day. You were a family and you wanted to keep it that way.

Yay you’re back! I was worried something had happened! 😰

LOL Tumblr happened... I had created some extra blogs for a side project and had not yet used them to Tumblr standards, so once I released the unneeded ones back to the wild, they unlocked my main blog. Let this be a lesson to anyone else lmao. 🤣

Sorry for worrying anyone! I knew a few people had started asking about me because I could still see my email notifications... I just couldn’t access or reply to any of them. Thanks for looking out for me. I feel very loved. 🥰

Yeesss!! I went to reread something of yours a few days ago to kill time at a kids birthday party, but it was just gone 😟

Happy you’re back ♥️

Mirror, Mirror (Kenji x MC, Hero)

Notes. Starting 2018 with a fic!

My MC is Maximilian ‘Max’ Ashcroft.

==============================

In which Max tries to fix a nosebleed and catches the most popular guy in school talking to himself in the mirror.

College AU. Friendship/Romance. 1.6k words. One-shot.

==============================

Max groaned, pinching his nose as he stepped out of the nurse’s office. Of all days, he had to get a nosebleed today.

It wasn’t entirely surprising, considering today’s temperature was the hottest recorded since summer started. Still, though. It was extremely inconvenient.

“Good thing it’s stopped,” Max grumbled, pushing the door to the boy’s bathroom. He pulled a few sheets of paper towel before he started toward the sink –

“You can do this. Deep breaths.”

I LOVE this fic! It‘a one of those I just read again and again ♥️ It’s cute and fluffy and I love the dialogue.. All time favourite fan fiction for sure 😍 Well this and the one with the dead gold fish.

You know what I don’t get?  When fanfic authors apologize for long chapters.  It’s like?  You gave me bonus content, for free, and you’re sorry about it?  Bruh.  I have already named my firstborn after you.  Dude.

You know what else I don’t get?  When they apologize for short updates.  It’s like: look at these new words I gave you!  Sorry I didn’t give you even more free words.  Bro, that’s at least two words that I did not have yesterday.  For free.  Dude.  Thank you.

And another thing: when people drop out of nowhere with a surprise update and then apologize for it taking a while.  Like, dude, I wasn’t expecting anything, and you gave me words.  I thought this fic was abandoned, but wait: there’s more.  You just popped in and reminded me that this is a Good Fic that I should probably reread.  You made my goshdarn day.

Basically fanfic writers are under no obligation to publish anything so when they do update it’s always a net positive because the story is longer now, and I have something to read, so thank you so much to everyone who writes fic at whatever pace or quantity they want.

"I could never leave you, I love you too much!” Bryce x Charlie

Avatar

Note: This is book Charlie x Bryce and not AU version, which personality-wise are the same characters, but this pertains to the canon version of their lives.

"What's wrong?" Bryce asks, his forehead wrinkled in concern as they lie facing one another in bed.

Crap. Apparently Charlie can't hide her feelings as well as she thought. "Don't worry. It's nothing really." She smiles weakly.

"I know you Charlie. Something's up."

Something is up, but she can't bring herself to say it out loud because she worries if she does, it will cause the very thing she's afraid of. But on the other hand, she knows Bryce, and he's not going to let it go.

"Well..." Charlie takes a deep breath. "I've just been thinking about what your ex-girlfriend used to say about you - that you are like a golden retriever - always getting excited about the next new thing. What we have is great and I'm not rushing to define things, but without labels and declarations, I don't always know where we stand. And I guess... I don't know... I just wonder when you are going to get tired of me and move on to bigger and better things."

Bryce reaches over and rests his palm against her cheek, stroking it softly with his thumb. "Charlie there is no such thing. I could never leave you. I love you too much!"

"Wait, what?" His words had come out clear as day, but she still can't trust she'd heard them right.

"I love you, Charlie, so much." Bryce jumps out of bed and runs over to open the window, yelling out onto the busy Boston street. "Charlie Hawkins is my girlfriend, and I love her!"

"Oh my god, Bryce!" She springs up and pulls him back to bed.

Bryce rests his head back on the pillow and smirks. "How's that for a declaration?"

Charlie shakes her head, but can't hold back her smile. "You are too much, Bryce Lahela. But I love you too."

"I know," he replies nonchalantly.

"Hey!" Charlie pushes him playfully. "You cocky motherfu-"

Before she can finish, Bryce presses his lips to hers with a kiss that leaves her breathless. When he pulls back his smug grin is replaced with a softer, more sincere expression. "What I should have said is, I'm not the best at spelling things out like that. I could tell how much you cared about me, and I assumed you knew I felt the same. But I'll say it as much as you need to hear it. I love you Charlie, and I'm not going anywhere. You're stuck with me."

The Freshman: Book 2 - 11e

The Freshman Book 2 - 11e Chapter 11d: Friday I’m In Love

***Labeled as 2-11d in my masterlist - a brand new chapter to include more TFC***

Masterlist - go here for other chapters and related original fics

Disclaimer: The following are fics (adaptations from actual game chapters AND original works) to Choices: The Freshman series. It is a fictional adaptation. I do not work for Pixelberry Studios, the game developer or own the rights to the characters Chris Powell, Nicole or any other IN GAME character. All of the ORIGINAL characters, storylines and events were developed, by me, for this adaptation of The Freshman story.

Comments: I enjoyed playing Choices: The Freshman… But it needed more. I’ve included certain things that aren’t really full fic size in order to add more substance to the story. I ALSO have quite a few full size fics throughout. I wanted to see MC and Chris through their college years, and more… with additional angst, fluff, sweetness, real life and overall detail - so here you go.

Word Count: 10,455

NSFW moments in some chapters - Mature Readers Only Please

Paring: MC x Chris

POV: ~MC~ or ~Chris~

~MC~

Monday morning comes quickly for the tall freshman from Maine. MC remembers how quickly he said his goodbyes, kissing her on the forehead before rushing out for a brief workout in the early morning hours. He was starting to act more like his old self, something she easily notices as his energy levels increase more with each passing hour. MC’s glad for his swift recovery, knowing Chris is already strapped for time throughout the week since the debate is only in a few short days, not to mention they all have finals coming up as well.

She doesn’t blink when he sends a text after her last morning class, studying the words as she reads that he can’t meet her for lunch. The message says he needs the hour to check in with a few of the clubs on campus, more work related to his campaign. Chris had mentioned before that some groups wanted to talk with him in detail about his plans for Hartfeld, seeing how it could directly affect their future at the university.

MC offers to help, but Chris insists that he does it himself, so she spends her lunch with Zack at the cafe instead, hanging out for a while before she heads to her next class. Later, when she has some free time between classes, MC stops in at the library. The location has always been great for studying and more importantly, it’s closer to her last class of the day than their dorm is which saves travel time.

Seeking out a table in a quiet corner on the second floor, MC pulls out her phone and begins to type out a quick text. However, before she can send it, an incoming text pops up on the bottom of the opened text thread instead.

‘Miss you. Where are you.’

HOW DID I MISS THIS!! AND WHY IS IT ALWAYS TOO SHORT? I always wanna read the next part right away..

Another awesome chapter! Is it wrong that I’m kinda excited for the angst coming soon? 🤔

The Girl Next Door

Pairing: Jaime x MC

Word Count: 3,550

Summary: Jaime gives Arden a tour of some renovations he’s made around his house, and they decide it’s time for a change in their relationship.

Note: I’ve had a draft of this story in the works since before A Prickly Diversion, so I’m super excited to finally share it with you all. It came out much cheesier than I intended, but I’m rolling with it. : )

This also fulfills the last two soft-prompt requests that I received from @krishu213 (reunion hug and family). If all goes according to plan, my other requested fics should be finished by the end of month.

“Attention, passengers. We will now begin our descent into Northbridge International Airport. It’s a cool fifty-seven degrees in the city and the local time is 6:43. We hope you’ve enjoyed–”

“Never thought I’d be so happy to be back in Northbridge,” Ellen declared over the pilot’s announcement.

Arden pulled a pack of gum from her carry on and offered a stick to her business partner. “I’m always happy to be back.”

Truth be told, she was especially glad to arrive on this particular evening. A series of flight delays had meant missing her lunch plans with Jaime and having to wait another full day before seeing Jinx and Opie. They’d only been apart for a week, but the time away had really started to wear her down.

THIS WAS TOO CUTE AND THEY ARE SO PRECIOUS!

I can never get enough of your Jaime fics. Pure perfection ♥️

Do #3 and #17 for Jaime x Mc, please!

Thanks for the requests, Nonnie! I hope it's okay that I chose to write these from Jaime’s perspective. This seemed like a perfect opportunity to switch things up.

Enjoy! : )

#3 - forehead kisses

A climactic battle was escalating before his eyes, the villain spouting angry threats before the plucky, if unlikely, protagonist. Destruction lay behind them: the result of a city engulfed in flame. Steadily, the drumbeat quickened, its pace growing frenzied in the anticipation of attack. Millions of dollars and years of post-production were on full display before him.

But Jaime was too preoccupied with the woman beside him to be looking at the screen.

Arden never fell asleep in movies. While she was more than capable of napping at other times, she’d always insisted that it was ridiculous to spend twelve dollars to sleep in a theater when she could just as easily go home and nap on her own couch. But he well knew that the past week had left her with little time to nap – little opportunity to sleep at all. This was likely the first chance she’d had to sit for more than ten or fifteen minutes at a time. Falling asleep on his shoulder had probably been inevitable.

Inevitable or not, the pressure of her at his side had captured his full attention.

Arden's lips, though hanging slack in sleep, were still incredibly enticing. He'd spent the better part of the last several years forcing himself not to think of those lips -- not to think of what it would be like to kiss her one day. Now that he knew what kissing her was like, resisting had become even harder. It was quite lucky for him that she happened to enjoy kissing so very much.

His eyes fell to the shirt sleeve was tangled beneath her fingers, a sudden explosion on the screen glinting off the glossy polish on her thumb nail. Jaime could still feel the easy way her hand had slipped into his as they'd walked into the theater, her grip holding fast as though establishing her claim on him. He wasn't sure what he'd expected having a relationship with her would be like, but some part of him had thought they might east into it -- testing the waters at every step. He should have known that Arden would want everything in full force. Patience had never been her strong suit.

Arden stirred against him, her breath hot even through the fabric at his shoulder. He tilted his head to see her eyelids flutter open, her mouth tensing in a quiet yawn while she blinked to reorient herself.

He leaned forward again to softly kiss her forehead.

Eyes crinkling at the edges, she snuggled back into his side. Her sigh of contentment sent another pang of affection through him. A real, proper date with your dream girl? His teenage self would have danced with excitement.

It might only be their second date, but if he had any say in the matter, it would be the first of many.

#17 - fixing the other persons clothes absentmindedly or like tucking their hair behind their ear U KNOW WHAT I MEAN THAT SOFT STUFF

"...green peppers, red peppers, onions, diced tomatoes, shredded cheese..."

Pocketing his keys, Jaime smirked at Arden's mumbled recitation. Skilled as she was at keeping her cool during challenging interviews, an ordinary trip to pick up groceries had her frazzled. She was still rattling off ingredients by the time he made it around the car to open her door -- a gesture she rarely had the patience for.

He waited as she slipped the seatbelt off her shoulder, hiking the strap of her purse in its place. Arden stepped out of the vehicle, but stopped for a moment before heading toward the store. As she stood, she took a squinting look at him, brown eyes barely detectable beneath her thick black lashes.

"Do you have garlic salt already? We can buy some if you don't."

"I have garlic salt, Arden. And garlic powder too, if we need it." He refrained from telling her that he'd made the recipe dozens of times and would have no trouble finding the ingredients, whether she remembered them or not.

"Perfect." Snapping out of her trance, she seemed to realize that she was still penned in between his frame and the door of the truck. "I'm ready now," she announced with the smile that had captured the hearts of the whole city of Northbridge.

It had won him over long before that.

Falling into step beside each other, they navigated the parking lot. As they rounded the cart corral, he felt the distinct sensation of her slim fingers skimming his side.

"Your shirt was riding up," she said in answer to his inquisitive look.

"Aren't you usually trying to get me out of my clothes?"

Her delicate brows shot up, incredulous. "Only when we're alone! I don't need half the city chasing you around."

Now you know how I feel, he mused, slipping an arm around her waist before they stepped through the automatic doors. He snagged a cart with his free hand, determining to let her set the pace for their little shopping trip. Since he expected her to power walk straight to the produce as soon as they were through the door, her decision to remain at his side took him by surprise.

He should have known that it would only last an instant -- long enough for her to deliver a whispered suggestion that left him with a hot blush across his cheeks:

"Just wait until after we’ve had dinner."

Back to Bubbly

Pairing: Jaime x MC

Word Count: 2,800

Summary: After spending all of her free time at the hospital, Arden needs a break. Thankfully, Jaime’s got a plan to help her decompress.

Note: This story started as a drabble based on @krishu213‘s request for “markets,” but very quickly got out of hand. If you can make it through the angsty beginning, I promise there’s fluff to be had by the end.

Also, I offer my sincere apologies for how rough this is. I had a totally different fic on the docket for tonight, but ended up hashing this one out when I sat down to edit the other. Thanks for bearing with my shenanigans.

Arden couldn’t tell how long the ventilator and her own breathing had been working in tandem. Breathe, click click, breathe, click click…Their combined rhythm was perpetual, disrupted only when the door of 227 was breached by some visitor.

It hadn’t been like this the whole time her father had been in ICU. The first night she’d visited, she’d talked herself almost hoarse with the account of her trip with Ellen and their plans for uncovering Carmichael’s schemes. When that story had ended, she’d resorted to telling him favorite memories from her childhood – sharing secrets that he’d never heard in hopes that tales of her juvenile mischief could scandalize him out of his sleep.

The night after that, she’d filled him in on the developments in her relationship with Jaime. I think we might actually start dating, dad. Can you believe it? Mom would have been so proud of herself for calling it all those years ago… She’d gone on until the tears came and prevented her from telling him anything further.

That gif says it all. They are too cute together!
