So, I fled war and I had this post with my PayPal info coz I didn't have income apart from (not very big) humanitarian help and struggled trying to find a job. Now it's just charities post. Even a few euros or dollars can help us win and stop occupiers! I personally donate any spare money I have because I want to go home and I want my home to be undamaged and my friends -- alive.

Definitely not a full list but like, there is no point of donating to every single one. They work together anyway. However, if your Ukrainian friend sent you a link to any local charity they trust, I will be grateful if you donate there as well.

Russians don't give love to their children, but they steal and re-educate Ukrainian children with such perverse fanaticism

Ukraine has handed over to Qatar a list with the names of 561 Ukrainian children who were taken to Russia. This was reported by Ombudsman Dmytro Lubinets. ▪️Wait for the return of a group of Ukrainian children home. We are not disclosing details at this time. ▪️ Talking about the return of orphans and children deprived of parental care. Qatar agreed to work on the issue of their return to Ukraine. I'll reiterate it once again: this. Is. GENOCIDE. Blatant and unhidden.

Some account posted this picture from Georgian protests (and didn't mentioned it's from Georgia) on twitter and replies and quotes are filled with american activists assuming it's from american protests shaming her for being a performative white woman, who doesn't care that students are arrested. GET YOUR HEADS OUT OF YOUR ASSES! YOU'RE NOT THE CENTRE OF THE WORLD!

Imagine the fucking audacity to see a picture from a protest and your first thought is "yeah, of course that's America, there's no world outside US, so I'm gonna get riled up calling her performative white woman" when in reality it's a Georgian woman protesting in her own country.

Oh and when they see EU flag on pictures they ask "why is there EU flag??", because in their universe they think there's a EU flag in an american protest for some reason before they think "hey, this is probably not in US!"

American internet activists talk non-stop about americentrism while still participating in it. Maybe reflect on that?

I have also seen people calling her an iconic queen, but still assuming she is USAmerican. I wonder how many of those exact same people would call her a puppet taking part in a CIA-staged coup / colour revolution upon finding out where this photo is actually from.

Because that's one more feature in their thinking - they assume that every protest outside of the US is a CIA staged coup, because there is no way those other people can have agency.

Unprecedented police brutality in Tbilisi today. The police are beating up teenagers, throwing rocks and bottles at peaceful protesters.

They are using tear gas & pepper spray now. Also rubber bullets. Hundreads have been hurt. Ambulances at the location are overcrowded.

They are using water canons now to clear the main street Rustaveli from protesters. There were no warnings.

There is a suspicion that the police/spec ops that have their faces covered are Russian special forces that have been sent in.

The police together with spec ops and robocops keep using tear gas & water canons but people do keep returning to demonstrate. Meanwhile other spots of protest have formed around the city and whole country. Protesters have paralized both embarkments with help of solidarity of bus drivers who have blocked the roads.

This is Levan Khabeishvili - the head of one of the opposition parties. He's a member of parliament and has immunity. Still he was taken from the demonstration today and mercilessly beaten.

You can imagine how people without immunity are being treated.

It's astonishing and surreal to hear about apoliticality in contests where people represent a certain country….

Cruel humor. But I almost choked on my tea. I also see this as more of a chemical attack. Meanwhile, the russians are having fun…

They are proud of their crimes and shout about it at the top of their lungs. But the world is indifferent.

We need so much support right now when Russia is planning to take away even more territories and Ukrainians' lives. Don't quite our voice. Especially on a platform like that. Yes, it's entertaining competition but our reality in war is definitely not fun to live. We keep crying out to the world in every possible way.

Also, that very year, in 2009, Sakartvelo (also known as Georgia the country) was disqualified from participating because their song "We Don't Wanna Put In" was deemed "too political".

At some point your actual everyday life is considered to be "politics" and invalidated on those grounds by those privileged enough.

As a former humanities student, I feel it is my duty to reblog this one.

Russian culture is genocide

On this day in 2023, at 4:20 am, Russia launched a missile attack on the city of Uman, Cherkasy region. Two Russian X-101 missiles hit a 9-storey residential building.

23 people were killed, including 7 children.

But there's something to be said about people who's government refused to join in and who said "You know what? We'll fucking do it ourselves. Remember who the real power is." Today is Armenian genocide remembrance day. On april 24, 1915 started mass deportations of hundreds of Armenian intelectuals and community leaders, who were (most of the time) eventually killed. Armenian women and children were systematically r//ed and forcibly converted into islam. There were more than 2 milion Armenians in ottoman empire prior to ww1, 1,5 milion of them were viciously killed. Three millennia of Armenian civilaziation in eastern Anatolis was fully destroyed. Turkey today refuses to acknowledge genocides of christian minorities in early 20th century.

Do you know that mass ethnic cleansing of Armenians in ottoman empire inspired Lemkin to coin the term 'genocide'?

Last year in september azerbaijan allied with turkey initiated a war against Armenia. More that 5000 Armenians were murdered, thousands of Armenia families had to live their ancestrial land to not get murdered. There are hundreds of vids on internet where armenian p.o.w.s are tortured. Recently azerbaijan opened a "museum" displayind dead or dying Armenians and kids were allowed to visit it.
