I know I’ve been away for months, long months. I went through a lot during that time - health issues, another episode of depression and, of course, many, MANY exams. I’m writting now to share a great news with you all, though.

Two days ago I passed the last exam. I can say I graduated from a medical university and I am officially a doctor now! Isn’t it insane?!

I might still share pieces of my journey with you, if you wish but it for sure won’t be the same anymore. And that’s great, time to open another chapter of my life (no without studying, though, there’s still a lot to do).

Have a great day!

Hey, i've been following your tumblr for some months, you're awesome. I wish you success. I'm also a med student, so I understand you. But, I'm interested, where are you studying?

Hey! Thank you so much! 💕 I study in central Poland. I wish you everything best on your medical path. 🙏🏻

When you're reading a textbook do you prefer typing notes or handwriting them? When studying which do you prefer?

Hey! It’s actually always a tough decision for me, hah. Typing them is much faster and the notes are more transparent and aesthetic, easier to use in the future. But I often chose handwritting them because it let’s me be more creative and sometimes memorize better. :) In the future I plan to stick to typing them, tho, I want my notes to be clear and more useful.

Hello, I was wondering how does it work with specialization in your country? Do you get to choose what you want to specialize?

Avatar

Hello! We can pick the spacialization but it depends on the amount of places available at that moment. If there are more people than free spots at the hospitals - the result of doctors exam decides who gets it. You can also specialize as a volunteer but it means you get no salary for your work which is obviously the worse option.

Heya! I was just wondering what is medical school like? I know that it can be stressful and busy at times. What does your daily schedule look like?

Hi!

It’s a really difficult question. Med school for sure can be stressful, also exhausting emotionally and physically, frustrating. It becomes a huge part of your life. But it isn’t only negative, it’s also REALLY positive at the same time. It’s fascinating and rewarding. Your hard work always pays off in one or another way.

My daily schedule: I get up before 7AM, eat breakfast and prepare myself for the day. I always start classes at around 8AM. Now these are only clinical classes so I spend whole this time at the hospital. Then in the afternoon I tend to eat and take a nap (but I actually try to get rid of this habit). Then I usually go to the library to study, often with my friend, she always motivates me. :) In the evenings I go to the gym, around 3-4 times a week. I come back late evening and usually use the rest of the time to relax, eat, watch a series or play some games. Then I prepare to go to bed and my day ends, usually around midnight. I try to keep this routine so I don’t procrastinate and study regularly.

Hope I answered your question!
