This is gonna be really rude and hurtful, but understand this comes for nearly two years of pain of interacting with the goyische LGBT community as a Jewish Trans Gay and watching y’all flood the tag with “don’t know if you know this but gay people were Holocaust victims too”

But….

I have literally no interest in goyische LGBT people thinking they can’t be Nazis or that they are effected (not was, but are present tense not past) by them in any way.

Also stop pretending that your legacy in the Holocaust is forgotten, y’all have time and time again literally erased the understanding that the Holocaust was a Jewish and Roma tragedy to try and add some narrative where, and yes I’ve literally had a gay American man say this to me, “a million of gay people were killed.”

I especially tire from hearing this narrative from American goyische gays (because y’all are the ones most spewing this shit), you weren’t effected. Recognize your relationship, lack there of, with the Holocaust.

The Holocaust just simply isn’t a scar that goyische gays have to carry.

15,000 gay folk were sent to concentration camps.

6 million Jews were killed in concentration camps.

It’s just simply not the same and never will be, there is not intercommunal trauma for you all, no intergenerational trauma for you all when it comes to the Holocaust, particularly if you exist out of countries like Germany, Poland, and France.

I’m tired of it. How can you consistently talk about or pretend you are effected concerning modern Nazi ideology and talk consistently about how the Holocaust effected gay people and then abuse Jewish people in LGBT spaces? Y’all make no sense.

Stop trying to push this narrative that Nazis effect you like somehow legit Gay Nazis don’t exist.

It’s a slap in the fact to pretend that you are somehow erased concerning the Holocaust.

It’s spiting in the face of Jewish LGBT folk to pretend that you were are effected by its lingering remnants.

And it’s ignorance to think that gay people can’t be Nazis, especially concerning modern Neo-Nazi ideology.

The focus of the Holocaust and Nazis isn’t you, accept that.

Non-LGBT people please don’t reblog.

Dude, what? By the mere fact that gay people were persecuted by the Nazis means that they were affected. No, not to the same extent, I’ll give you that! But whoever was persecuted by the Nazis is someone who was affected, as in the Jehovah’s Witnesses.

I grew up as a Jehovah’s Witness (but later left that cult), and my mother drilled it into my head that they had been put into concentration camps; she even made me watch a movie called “The Purple Triangle” or something like that. Do Jehovah’s Witnesses get special treatment for their group being victims of an absolutely despicable crime?

I’m gonna make an analogy that I don’t know how I feel about, so I suppose that it’s a Devil’s Advocate: when a tornado hits a town, the people whose shop was only destroyed can talk about being its victim, even when other people have lost their entire family. @realsadjewishhours , what do you think?

I think you chose literally the worst group to make your point with do you even know WHY Jehovah’s Witness died in the camps?

Y’all had a literal choice, not a fair one albeit. But a choice to accept the authority of the state and accept the war and y’all refused.

Jews did not get that choice. We did not get to chose to acknowledge the authority of the state.

Many Many Jehovah’s Witness were given the ability to swear allegiance for the sake of their lives swore allegiance to the state.

Again Jewish people were not.

I’m not gonna deny it wasn’t a FAIR CHOICE to chose between your religious beliefs and staying alive.

But it was a choice. That Jews did not have.

Infact mant Gay Germans were allowed to live though under oppressive circumstances/being jailed.

Only 15,000 Gays were sent to the camps, where an unknown number died . While 50,000 gay people in total were sentenced for their Homosexuality. (Keep in mind this out of the total 100,000 that they found to be Homosexuals in their Getsapo lists which is out of the original total of 1.2 million estimated gay men in Nazi germany. Let’s not forget in comparison to this more than a fourth of the worlds Jews died in the Holocaust.)

Again Jews were not given this choice or chance of prison it was straight to the camps or ghettos (which then led to the camps eventually so… either way)

and that’s not even what I said I said you WERE persecuted but don’t experience any of its effects today or the trauma that still lingers. That it is not your tragedy as a whole. (And I was specifically talking to American gays when I said you weren’t effected at all. Because it’s the motherfucking truth)

Because the choice was there, not for gays, but for Jehovah’s Witness.

and because the chance was there, for both Jehovah’s Witnesses and Gay people to not arrive at those camps. (Even if it was a chance of prison for gay people and leaving their religion for Jehovah’s Witness)

I would also like to say that Nazis killed ALL of European Jewry while they focused solely on GERMAN Gays and Jehovah’s Witnesses for the most part.

And that’s why it will always be a hundred percent different and not really your tragedy in the present moment.

Before your ass gets bitter please understand:

A) I understand the chance and the choices aren’t fair persay. But I think we can definitively agree that literally anything is better than dying in concentration camps LITERALLY ANYTHING

B) that persecution did exist, just no in the way Jews and Roma folk were effected and it doesn’t effect y’all now, and if you say it does especially if you live outside of Germany you are probably lying to make a point.

I also really want you to keep in mind that I’m not some cishet Jew saying this I’m saying this as someone who is a LGBT Jewish person.

So like I was saying the Holocaust isn’t your legacy it’s not your burden.

Why can’t you be happy about that?

I don’t understand the unbelievable need by non-Jews to feel included in this horrific human rights abuse? And the want to experience its lingering remanants? Like why do y’all want to have family members who cry themselves to sleep, and listen to it? To never know the legacy of your community because it is of all broken pieces scattered across Europe? To consistently prepare to be scooped away by the government so always having to be prepared to have an exit plan outside of the House, a go away bag always ready no matter what? Why do y’all want this? You should be ashamed of yourselves.

I also lastly, want to make it clear that your mother growing up telling you this shit especially if her family members wasn’t effected is major fucked up. Centering the Holocaust around the LEAST effected groups, a group that had the MOST choice, well,,, yikes.

And no your analogy is terrible.

I hope to contribute to support the point by sjh.

Writing from Germany, as a queer convert in progress, I can say that I’ve never ever heard people talking about effects of the Nazi regime in goyishe trans support groups or other queer settings.

Obviously I do hear people talk about the shoah in general and in a personal way in Jewish settings quite often.

It’s so obvious.

I occasionally see queer people talking _now_ about the effects of the Nazis suppressing the work of Magnus Hirschfeld. Often enough not mentioning his being Jewish.

But the effect that we still notice more than 70 years after WW2 on Jewish communities both here and everywhere… I wouldn’t see anything like this in queer settings at all. (I know much too little about Romani communities.)

So please… Yes the Nazis targeted many groups and still none of them in the same way as they targeted Jewish and Romani people.

The Nazis also had gay people on their cabinet- as long as they agreed with the state they weren’t really seen as “bad people.” I’ve seen so many goyisch lgbt people claim this so thank you for this post OP

You deserve to spend time with people who make life better, a little more vibrant and less dark. You deserve to be with people who challenge your views and aid in mutual growth. You deserve to be around people who make things like going shopping a small adventure and a fun task. You deserve a friendship where there is trust that the things spoken between you will stay there, that only positive things are said about each other behind closed doors, where they look out for you and your best interests because they care. Friendships like this shouldn’t have to be rare, be picky until you find people worth giving your time to. These are the friendships that stick around. The ones where you feel unconditionally wanted and deserved, don’t settle for less.

in your arms — h.jisung

summary: everything just felt so right when you were with the love of your life. (~1k)

(i made a promise that if jisung posted this month, i’d write tooth-aching fluff~ enjoy. i’m about to kill myself and every other jisung bias yeet)

it could’ve been the way the sun hit his face in the early mornings, or the way he softly whined until you were cuddled against his chest. you could list a hundred different reasons why you found a safe haven in jisung’s arms.

the way his soft snores leaves his parted lips. the way his eyes would flutter open and immediately sparkle when they met yours. the way he’d wrap his arms around you as tightly as he could, almost as if he was afraid of losing you while he rested. those were only just a few things out of the many that you could name of what you loved about han jisung.

of course there were more. you could think of a thousand new different reasons whenever you’d spend the day with him.

Why can’t we hold black people accountable without bringing up white people?

When R. Kelly and Bill Cosby are brought up, it’s always “well what about Harvey Weinstein and Donald Trump?”

Derailing the conversation doesn’t change the fact that R. Kelly and Bill Cosby should be in jail…
